TV: Real World - Austin, Texas

blah. i fell asleep tonight after work and missed it. anything good happen?
 
Rachel and Nehemiah (however you spell that) got into an argument about how she thinks she's so cool cause she was in Iraq, meanwhile, Nehemiah is anti-war. They later makeup and everything is ok. Relatively low drama here.

Melinda and Wes "makeout" (they keep saying they made out but all they showed just seemed like a brief kiss) drunk at a club. The roommates decide not to tell Danny, cause its "not a big deal." Then, the next night, everyone but Danny and the virgin chick with the short hair (I forget her name). She let's it slip that Wes and Melinda made out, and Danny gets angry. Later virgin chick is talking with Johanna and when Jo asks how Danny found out about Wes & Melinda, virgin chick totally plays dumb and says that "someone probably accidentally let it slip in conversation." Melinda & Danny get in a little fight about it, he says he doesn't want to be with a roommate who is making out with another roommate. Melinda cries, and she and Danny makeup.

I think that's really all that happened.
 
I'm usually off Tuesdays, but I worked last night, so I missed last night's episode. And mtv.com doesn't have an episode re-cap like they usually do :( Did I miss anything? I'm sure I'll catch a repeat in a couple of days.
 
Nothing much really. Wes and Nehemiah have a bunch of groupie's phone numbers, but they have no game. And Rachel's bouncer guy turns out to have a girlfriend.
 
I live in texas and austin is the best city to do it in, probably the most interesting city Ive ever been in. my dad was in the navy, so ive actually been to 49 states (minus alaska).

melinda is IMO the hottest real world cast member to date. I can see how you'd be jealous xena. if you were a guy, maybe you'd understand. being thrown into the pimpest house in the best city in the best state with a hot girl who walks around in scimpy outfits, i'd be giddy as hell too

and did anyone notice what danny said after nehamia said the war was propoganda? he said dog, "they killed 4000 Americans on American soil." ummm...I think hes forgotten about WMDs and that the 9/11 terrorists weren't Iraqis
 
I'm almost embarassed to admit that when Danny got the phone call about his mom dying, I cried. I'm sorry but its SAD and he was so heartbroken and so upset :( What a tragedy. I wonder if he'll come back to the show to finish the season.

i've been really busy lately and have missed the last few episodes. i finally got pretty caught up today, thanks to mtv and its love for reruns. i don't really have anything to say- this cast is nothing special to me. i do like nehamiah though- he seems like a really good guy.

and i'll admit it too- i definitely shed a tear while danny was on the phone w/ his dad... and then when they played the end of the last conversation with him mom... wow.

the previews for next week show mel getting upset about dann'y possible decision to not come back to the show. i think that's really fuckin selfish of her- is she not thinking about what he just went through? he needs to be w/ his friends and family now... not someone he met a month ago and just started to get to know- someone who never met his mom or really understood their relationship.
 
uhhh is the real world still scripted? i have mtv blocked out on my channle list. all lame chans are as a matter of fact.
 
what i meant is if danny comes back to the show it sows he ia a lowlifebitch lookin for a GQ contract...anyone that truly gave a shit about their mum and family would stay there and get thru it...they wouldnt even think of going back to their reality show...think about it..
 
i really can't stand melinda- i feel like she's really selfish. danny's mother just died... of course he's going to act differently for a while. melinda gets all upset because he's acting weird to her and isn't paying enough attention to her when they go out. um, hello... he didn't seem to be paying attention to anyone! i feel like she could be doing a much better job of being there for him and letting him grieve, instead of giving him shit for how he's acting.

Danny is from a town near me...i know where he lives. My bf knows a few of his friends...the poor guy went thru a lot :( I would not have gone back to the show if my mum died thats for sure.

I also cant stand Melinda...she is selfish and needy

No doubt Houston's pissed... it's the 5th largest city in the US (or at least was when I lived there).

lol.

on TV they made Billerica look like a shithole. Its about 20 mins from me, and it is actually really pretty in some parts. Lots of woodsy area, a river, nice people.
