Has anyone seen this show on Bravo? I've been watching it from the beginning and in my opinion, it's the best reality show on TV right now. It's a competition in which the participants have to exhibit real skill, not just bitchiness.

Really, NONE of you are watching this awesome, awesome show? There's a marathon on Bravo all day today, and the 2-hour finale is this Wednesday.
 
I'm a total sucker for this show. Like you said, it's really nice how the people are actually judged purely on their skills. I haven't seen this show for a while so hopefully I'll be able to catch up with this marathon. And if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have known about it, so thank you!
 
^ Wendy, she soooo should not have gotten as far as Fashion Week. Personally, I think she should have been eliminated in the first episode -- her "outfit" was horrendous. Eh, whatever ... she's not going to win, and it really is an incredible opportunity for someone that age with very little talent and no confidence in her own work.

I can't WAIT for the finale! It looks like it's a toss-up between Jay and Kara Saun -- both incredible designers. I wish they could both win!

Austin is out! He didn't make it to the final three, although he got to show his collection at Fashion Week anyway ... I guess the show didn't want the press leaking who the final three were before the finale, so they had the top four show collections but told the press that only 3 of them were actually competing.
 
Austin's such a sweetie... Remember how he had to decide which member of the group should be kicked out and he was so torn that he nominated himself? *sigh* Then without a second thought Wendy had the nerve to nominate him. :p

As for his designs... I don't believe he's as talented/versitile as Kara Saun or Jay, but they are incredibly beautiful nonetheless.
 
^ yeah, Austin's reluctance to pick the one who should go really points to a major difference between him and Wendy. He's confident in his designs and his talents; she, on the other hand, was always so sure that her work was shitty that she spent her time scheming and conniving instead of concentrating on making awesome clothes like the other designers. Austin could have sold Wendy out the way she did him and poor Kevin, but he doesn't need to.

You can only go so far on Wendy's "strategy," though ... one of the things I love about this show is that it goes through many different aspects of what it takes to be a highly successful fashion designer. Kara, Jay, and Austin are the ones who excel in all of these.

AAAAHH finale tonight!! I'm so anxious to see their collections and find out who wins!

Jay fuckin ROCKED that show! I'm gonna buy one of those shirts or tote bags he designed from the Project Runway store (under $30) just so I can have a Jay McCarroll.

His collection was original, fresh, and just gorgeous overall.

Ok well, I'm a little suprised this hasn't been bumped up with the new season. This season did not let me down. I'm actually pretty torn as to who I think will win this one. All three of them deserve it, though I do wish Nick had made it to the top three. The previews of Santinos collection definately left me pleasantly suprised. I also loved the bits and pieces of Chloes that we got to see. In the end I'm hoping the Daniel V. steps up his game he left a little to be desired.
 
i like this show a lot too. not because i'm into fashion and modeling (ha!) but because this show doesn't really focus on the bullshit drama that is probably going on all the time. it just focuses on the competitions.

i'm upset that nick didn't make it to the top 3. not only was he a pretty good designer, but he's also a really great, caring guy. he deserved a shot. i hope either daniel or chloe win. they've been consistently good throughout and they deserve to win. i really can't stand santino. so much of the shit he said and did was out of line. but... after seeing this week's episode where they were working on their lines, i think santino's looks the best so far. so we'll see next week!
 
This is a show I make sure I watch. It is on 2-3 times a week at different times and different stations.

I think Santino has potential but I don't like his stuff so far. His insecurities are so obvious when he cuts others down.

I like Chloe and Daniel's work. I would like Daniel to win.
 
I love this show!!! We are woefully late back here tho when it comes to seasons...I'm just on the end of Season fucking 1 where I just want to strangle that Wendy Peppers homely bitch. I HATE HER!!! lol....she epitomizes everything I hate in a person. I love Austin , Jay (I know he wins this) and Kara Saun and everybody else....Can i possibly get this on DVD? (BTW, what season is it now anyway over there in the States? 3?4?grrr i hate that were so behind...):p

And I don't really care that I know in advance whose gonna win and what not....I still like watching each and every episode it's so fascinating and interesting. Definitely a step up from the run-o-the-mill reality show, and I really feel for the designers. Thumbs up.
