The jokes he does tell that DO happen to be funny are from someone else.
At least when Dane Cook steals a joke, he can deliver.

Hold on one minute. Let's not throw the word "brilliant" around too quickly. Xena, I am sorry but you really need to listen to SonOF and check into how other comics, especially REAL hispanic comics like George Lopez. The YouYube video were Rogan walks right on stage during Mencia's act and confronts him on behalf of another comic is something to see. Here is bit from an article about Lopez:
Nick Di Paolo claims the Comedy Central star also swiped material from him, and notes that "every Latino comic wants to kill him."

One in particular is sitcom star George Lopez, who told Howard Stern last year that Mencia stole 13 minutes of his act for an HBO special, inspiring him to pay Mencia a personal visit. "I just had enough," Lopez recalled. "So one night at the Laugh Factory, I just picked him up and slammed him against the wall."

To me, what makes Mencia's act so bad is that apparently his observations are not heartfelt. They are just ways of shocking to make a buck. It is like comparing Andrew Dice Clay and Sam Kennison.

Both were shocking, one was brilliant
 
yea, totally wack. he rides the same old stale shit every show, its like how many mexican jokes can you squeeze into 30 mins. i did think some of his stuff was funny when he first had the show, but its gone downhill quick. he is a one trick pony.
 
I hate Carlos Mencia. I find him about as funny as genital warts. He's not even close to being funny and he heavily relies on "beener" humor even though he isn't even mexican. How this no talent ass clown got his own show is beyond me. I mean,was Carrot Top too busy or something?
 
I have never heard anyone refer to a Mexican as a "beaner" in my life, but Mencia uses it like it is the most popular racial slur out there.

I fucking hate Carlos Mencia. How many times can you possibly use the same fucking jokes inserting various races/identities into them and constantly refer to yourself as "edgy"? Apparently two seasons. Rip off artist.

Love Joe Rogan, though. :D
