I was watching a few of these recently on Discovery channel, I believe.
I am hooked! This guy is crazy. One of the shows he drops into Kenya. He proceeds to trek approx. 30 miles to a mountain amongst Lions , Elephants, Hippos, etc. The best part was when he came across a slain Zebra and ate from it's carcass. Just wondering if any of you are fans of this show. I've only seen a few so far. Very interesting.
 
haha you see the one where he kills a rabbit by chuck a small log like a bommerrang and hit is it right on the head from like 20 ft away....unreal
 
Ive never seen nor heard of this show

but it sounds very similar to a show on Canadas outdoor network channel called Survivorman which I love. Basically just a guy whose left in a not so hospitable environment with little to his name and has to survive off whatever he can for several days.

I LOVE shows like that.

Do you know what time and day this Man Vs. Wild airs on Discovery Channel?? And is that EST or PST or what time zone?
 
its almost the same idea as survivor man, except survivor man is all alone and does all bhis own cmaera work, man vs wild'd dude has a camera crew, but hes alot crazy than survivor man imo
 
I enjoy "Survivorman" also. It's pretty much the same show except "Man vs Wild" is a bit more hardcore. I can't say for sure when new shows air, but I caught it last night around 8 or 9 e.s.t. on Discovery.
 
I watch Survivorman and Man vs Wild religiously. I am an avid outdoorsman, and have gotten in over my head on numerous occasions. I doubt I will ever end up as bad off as these crazy fuckers(bear far moreso), but there is some good info on both, They are interesting to watch while high too;)
 
that sounds awesome! thanks for the heads up....sounds a lot more interesting than survivorman, while an interesting subject...it bored me.
 
that guy is so badass. even moreso when you realize that the camera crew is following him... and they have all the supplies and comforts w/ them that he is foraging for in order to survive.
 
TV: Man vs. Wild

I'm not sure if any of you have seen this show, but it's really entertaining. Bear Grylls, a former member of British special forces, goes to exotic and remote locales with a camera crew and shows the audience how to survive in extreme environments. The locations are amazing and Grylls is a really entertaining guy. It airs Friday nights at 9PM on the Discovery Channel.
 
This show is awesome.

I loved the jungle one, and the sierra Nevada mountains.
 
Oh, I have been wanting to watch this show. I saw the host on Conan and it looks really entertaining. I can never catch it when it comes on though.
 
i saw it, fuckin grose. this nig eats an eyeball, and to my amazement they showed on the whole process of extracting this eye from this dead animal. nasty but cool at the same time. lol. i think he takes unnecessary risks. on the one with volcanoes he says you have to be very careful when walking because you can fall into the lava, than he leaps 4 feet away from the camera!! i was like wtf idiot. i think survivor man would out survive man vs. wild, ohhh a survive off???
 
this shows pretty cool, but I've always wondered what the camera crew does. I can't imagine they have to do the shit he does for food and water and shit like that. I bet you they have bags of cheetos and cans of coke and shit while this guy eats bugs.
survivor man is still better, no crew.

One of the few shows that I actually like to watch...Well at the moment.
