who's a fan of this show besides me?

I find it amazing the things people will do for money :\

I love the stories though
I feel terrible when they're about to get caught
i just want to jump up and be like DROP THE STASH AND RUN!

I think my favorite episode has to be the one with the two friends who strapped the coke to their bodies. The jail scenes were intense with the guys playing Russian Roulette and what not. It was crazy.
:P

any thoughts on the show?

mods i searched and there was a pre-existing thread on this already but it was on a specific episode. Please forgive me if this thread should have just been a post! Feel free to merge :)

hah... watching it right now...kidnapped in the Philippines... awesome show great drama. makes you think twice before sailing down to Ecuador and scoring some kilos...i have had some scary experiences traveling with drugs and it makes me wonder how close i have go to being caught..i look forward to waching new episodes

over here it's called "banged up abroad" which makes me giggle cuz i hear "banged up a broad", but anyway, some really fascinating story in here for sure.

I watched the one today where the guy gets busted for coke in Caracas. I agree, I kept thinking Abort! You are such an idiot dude!

It left me with an undered question. In the middle of the show, the drug dealers phone his girl asking where he was, and why he didn't get off of the plane. Well duh, the moron got himself busted by being, well, a moron.

So he goes on this national television show to tell his story, reveals the US city in which he now resides....he lost some 50k of coke to a cartel 24 months ago, maybe....just maybe.....they might come and say "hi"?

And I would have felt bad becuase the guy waited two long years in a filthy South American jail in hopes of getting out and going back to the girl he LIED ABOUT BEING A DRUG DEALER to. And she leaves him for "a new guy she's playing music with." Epic ending to a tragic episode.

I do want to see more of this show.

SOme people have ultra-high risk tolerances, it's just risk and return. You know you're going to get killed or tortured when you do something, unless there's a crooked lawyer already cutting through the red tape when you get caught for a cut of the profits. AS far as me, if some fucked up country caught me with like a ki of blow I wouldn't let them take me in, they'd have to be forced to execute me on the spot after I started letting rounds loose on everyone there, aiming for their balls and shit. Suicide by cop - better than torture, hanging, or whatever the hell those assholes do.

so after watching another one about the abu sayyaf kidnappings in the philippines i think I'm not going to the philippines anymore :P

i feel bad for the woman in the last one
kept in captivity with her hubby for over a year and her husband killed right as she got saved =/
feels bad man

So we're both in agreement that if we are ever travelling around singapore together not to do anything illegal, not even chew gum in public.

Oh its a right of passage for you to smuggle a large supply of a schedule I or II narcotic by strapping it onto your body with duck-tape. lol.. and Smuggling the drug from one country (usually not the nice places) back to your home country (USA, UK, NZ, AUS - the ones that buy).
=D

Damn I wonder how many people out there have actually met someone that like offered you that kinda deal ' to go pick up a package' in another country and bring it back and then actually pulled it off and got paid and probably snort the fattest line of relief Heroin straight from the source when you get back in town, god that would be one amazing line. lol im just being slightly stoopid.%)

LOL, Absolutely - assuming I ever go to Singapore, which I won't ;). But yeah - I basically don't even bother look for drugs on the street when I'm abroad, for example.

Although if going to Singapore is all it takes to have you travel along, then... *sigh*, I guess I can drag myself there ;).

I've always wanted to go to Singapore since it's supposed to be extremely badass, but then I heard about this policy where you can't even bring your own prescriptions there if they are illegal under Singapore law. So my stay there would probably be characterized by loss of bowel movement, psychotic episodes, seizures, etc., unless I drank constantly. I've done it before for about a year in a country where they give you aspirin if you break your leg, and it worked out fine except for the initial reality shock.

Everyone basically knows that they hang you by your balls for smoking a clove cigarette in Singapore, but the city really is supposed to be amazing, clean, and some great clubs. There is a drug scene there of course since it is an extremely rich place with tons of international deals being pushed through banks there and other stuff along those lines, but those people are totally protected because they are adding commerce to an already industrious place. They're not protected because they have money, though, they're just protected because they stay in areas where cops are least likely to look for drugs. I'm sure they'd hang the CEO of a major multinational if they caught him or her in the act, though.

^ Singapore's possibly the best place I've ever been in the world. Go! It's not that scary. And the clubbing is good. Different, but good.

Did anyone watch Locked up Abroad this week? The people trying to smuggle marijuana from Jamaca to New York. What morons!! They didn't know weed was illegal in Jamaca until they got there! I mean, you would think some of these people would at least put SOME thought into what they are doing...

LOVE this show. i get so into the story and I start to think what I would do in that situation. Most of the time as soon as shit started to smell sour, I think GET THE FUCK OUT NOW!!! People just ignore their basic instincts and think everything is cool. I guess I am just way too suspicious of people who I don't know that well.

Im so excited for tomorrows episode!!!!
im sad its the final in the season but im still very excited to see it.

The one with the Soldier in Sierra Leone was intense. I loved that episode.
