Anyone else addicted to this shit?
I NEVER been one to be on a TV show like that. as far as "real" shows go. Sure i watch Aqua Teens and Boondocks and Chappelles Show with a passion, but thats literally it (other than the always-there classic the simpsons) as far as shows that i will ALWAYS watch if they are on, and always enjoy everytime. you know, the program thats "your show."
"what are you doing tonight?" "nothing much....stayin home....my show is on at 9...." you know how it is. some people are like that with that desperate housewifes crap. or their soap operas, or whatever.
But SVU has become "my show" lately....ever since 2 months ago when my girl was watching it while we were chillin, i been hooked. And its funny, i never seen a single episode of regular Lw & Order, or L&O CI. i tried wathcing Ci once but it just wasnt the same, i like the cast of SVU much better.
So what do you guys think of this show?
Personally, i hate the way TV shows are today, there is so much over hype, stupid gratiuty, dumb sex jokes (not dumb FUNNY sex jokes but just shit that aint even funny just supposed to be funny cuz its related to having sex) you know the deal. Sarcastic mom and dad, snotty daughter, slacker son, etc, wiseass neighbor, dog that always shits on the rug, etc. its all the same lately. Thats why i pretty much watch cartoon network, maybe comedy central when theres somethin good on, maybe if theres seomthing interesting on a "serious" channel like discovery or A&E (not usually lol.)
But SVU is a drama, without being stupidified for the lowest common denominator. they dont take cheap shots, they dont joke around in actual serious situations that take some reverence, they dont treat it like its one big peep show of sex victims. Theres no "witty banter" or constant ha ha ha's.
It seems liek the show actually takes itself seriously and the writers actually try to maintain quality and interest in each episode.
i aint seen em all, but i been watching it prolly 5 days a week since i started seeing it, and so far i never seen a episode that i said "that was wack, that sucked" yet.
Its *gasp* a drama series on TV that i actually respect. The characters aint one dimensional, the actings pretty good, the plot is always crazy and keeps you watching like 'holy shit what the hells gonna happen next."
Plus Stabler is kinda good looking in the henry rollins way. lol.
Well i know i rambled, my bad.
So to shut up and end it already, Whats yalls opinions on the show? Whose your favorite character? whats your favorite episode? And anything else you got to say about it.

I am fascinated with that show now.. the stories are much more layered than SVU. SVU lately has just outrageous twists that kind of irritate me..
