i used to watch hell's kitchen to get a crappy tv fix and i enjoyed it on a certain level. my dad was in catering so i've always been interested in the field and i always got the impression that, contrived tv anger aside, ramsey knew what he was doing.

i've recently watched about 5 episodes of gordon ramsey's kitchen nightmares and i've really beenenjoying it. you could argue that most of the information he imparts is basic business sense but i believe he has a keen vision for what will work and what won't in a certain place. with the annoying context of a tv contest removed, we get to focus on the actual subject matter and the show is better for it.

there's a us version on the way :)

any other fans?

gordon ramsey's kitchen nightmares

yeah, i recently discovered this show on bbc america.

it kinda reminds me of "restaurant makeover" on foodtv. they probably ripped off the idea from "kitchen nightmares".

one thing.....i have trouble with the accents. not alot, just a little.

good show.

Maybe they should subtitle it? :D

Tis a good vehicle for the Ramsey ego. Lets him act like billy big bollocks without appearing like the media fawn he's become more recently. I think it made it to a second series and it was always fun to see him bawling at some incompetent 'chef' who microwaved spaghetti!

Although one of his own businesses went bust in the process of making there series... ironically because he was accused of failing to adhere to his own teachings.

thats the joke that comes on before every show, courtesy of bbca

i love this show. i love him. hells kitchen was fabulous and this is even better because it focuses on food more so {or using less ingredients, more local and so on for better dishes} with a large side of business.
and one time i heard him say cock.

I enjoyed Hells Angels although there were definitely moments where it made me cringe a little bit (i.e. Ramsey going on his "tirades" and cursing helpless staff..with that accent! hah!) and some parts were just plain cheesy (no pun intended). I wanna catch this one too.

Something I found out recently that shocked me is that Ramsay is only 40 years old. The guy looks like he could be 55. I guess yelling and screaming and getting all worked up is bad for you after all.:)

i'm watching what i assume is the season premier.

gordon is at an italian restaurant called "peter's".

WOW, this is like watching a trainwreck.

i'm lovin' it.

edit: is peter a coke head? something weird is going on with peter.
