Wow...One of the most informational, interesting, unbiased reports on X I've ever seen. The report started with the birth of MDMA in 1912 & followed its history all the way to the present. Very interesting facts I had not known: A lot of (biased) reports I had seen in the past made it seem like X strictly came from raves-not true! Great interview w/ Frankie Bones, great party footage, great facts about the research & effects of X.

If anyone taped it I would love to have a copy.

I liked the special. It really informed me on the roots of X. It showed me that X did have acceptable medical use before it was banned by the DEA. I would have liked to see more glowsticking though :)

I saw this show and it was great. It showed how the government really has no information on how it effects your brain and how they lied about it. It showed old people saying they where fine and they took thousands off e pills and the government has no idea what they were talking about. I wish i could get this on tape to show my friends. The only problem is that i havent done e or been to a rave in 3 years and watching made we want to do it again.

This was good and very informative! It really showed how corrupt the US Government is! How are we, as US citizens, supposed to trust our government about ANYTHING? Imagine the things we dont even know about? Very frightening!!!!!!!!

anychance of a replay? I wanted to see this, but had school last night and had to miss it.

I also saw this and really enjoyed . There were no major shocks for me since I've done a little too much research on E. But it got me thinking, I wonder who was really watching this report? Probably just E users who knew this stuff. Hope not though. Hope my mom saw it. She's lenient about every drug except ecstasy. She won't even let me mention the word without making me say I won't take it. Hope they do another report like this and try to get the truth about E out.

I watched it too, and you can bet that plenty of government officals watched it as well. I am actually surprised to see that he was not slapped with any fines. This piece also questions the government drug policy and the research that the government funds. I have it on my computer....torrents rock!

Even though this thread & particular ABC special Peter Jennings Reporting: Ecstasy Rising is over a year old, I decided to bump it back up to see if anyone has a copy of this... I have no idea where to even look but I want to watch it again.
If anyone has a copy or knows someone with a copy, please PM me with info.
THANKS!

Uh, I don't think that link works anymore--I haven't the slightest idea what that link is for; look for yourself, maybe I missed something...?
I'm still inquiring about a tape if anyone has one. THANKS

^Sorry about that. I've tried cleaning it out--I've only got about 4 messages in my inbox so I don't know what the problem is.
Anwyay, contact me at my yahoo addy if you have anymore questions or anything.
Thanks again. :)

Great fair and balanced (;) ) look at this in the mainstream media.

I just got the torrent for this last night and watched it and must say i was quite impressed. I do think it could've gone more in depth, in terms of exploring the rise of the rave culture, the chemical breakdown of how ecstacy works from what we know on a bio-chemical level. Saying that it affects serortonin levels and leaving it at that and expecting the masses to understand was a bit weak. Connect the dots for them a little more.

I'm pretty sure the older generation in this nation who know nothing about it other than the fact that it's a drug, probably saw this as a propoganda piece by the "liberal media" conspiracy theory that they hold so tightly too. So i dunno, maybe a little less time hearing people say how amazing it felt and more facts would have probably done some good.

More info into the corruption and agenda of the DEA wouldn't have hurt either. Also explaining the prison industry's interest in illegal substances staying illegal would have probably helped as well.

I dunno, it could have easily used an extra hour's worth of footage.
