What the bloody hell is wrong with network television these days? I seriously thought it was a joke, but they are actually making a tv series using the cavemen from the Geiko commercials. http://imdb.com/title/tt0981216/
Between Dancing With The Stars,Survivor,The O.C.,American Idol,Desperate Housewives and about 50 other television series that don't even deserve to be mentioned,tv has seriously gone to hell and shows no signs of redemption. Would anyone here actually watch a series based on a television commercial? The last time I can remember them doing that was with the weird ass Duracell plastic family and that show didn't last six episodes. I hardly ever watched tv to begin with, with the exception of HBO,but this pretty much seals the deal.

I like the commercials, but I think it's a rather thin premise for a full-length show. *Lots* of funny commercials could never be shows; the whole point of a commercial is to catch your attention in as little time as possible, making them anathema to show-length. However, supposedly the same writer who made the commercials will be involved, so we'll see.

In truth, I think the concept itself--what *if* "cavemen" were a still-extant minority--is pretty interesting, which is why it made a good commercial to begin with.

i heard, on the radio, an excerpt frm their first show.
really, maybe with images it would be funny... but no. it was some sort of cro-mag joke taken way too far.
this type of tv makes me cry.

I really like the caveman commercials, particularly the one at the party. I hear the pilot for the show was an absolute bomb, though. I'm not losing much sleep over it. The premise doesn't have much left in it as it is, and sitcoms are dumb as hell.
