I am a big fan of the MTV series Jackass, I piss myself laughing at all the stupid things they do. Anyway I mentioned this to a friend and he loans a DVD called Bumfights Vol 3, and asssures me that I would like it. OMFG, what a fucking pisser. Basically the DVD contains footage of...

1. about 30 or 40 street fights (some being extremely brutal)
2. Homeless bums do CRAZY shit
3. a crackhead named "blingbling" smoking crack throughout the DVD doing crazy shit
4. Footage of various other american Jackass wanabees hurting themselves
5. hot chicks in bathing suits posing and showing off their tits, plus alot more.

Has anyone else seen these dvd's at all? and what does everyone think of this shit?

I saw it. I watched it with a horrified fascination.

I have to say that it was a scary critique on how society is. I was watchign it trying to figure out the motivatiion of the film makers throughout - what was their point? I was swinging between 'look what we've become' commentary and 'fucked up rich boys being pricks'. I think in hindsight it's the latter, but they did get the former point in too unwittingly to the right audience.

Yep my view exactly. I've said something similar in another thread on this bumfights thing so I will keep it short and simple: You are pond scum if you made or enjoyed this.

I watched this yesterday, and they are pretty mean to the bums lol. they got this guy dressed up like Steve Irwin (The Crock Hunter) and he runs around and jumps on homeless people and ties them up and starts examining them. the fights in the movie are mostly all college kids fights, i saw like 1 or 2 homeless ppl fights. The cruelest thing i saw was they pissed in a beer bottle and got this drunk homless guy to drink it, and they were throwing stones at this one guy who was sleeping beside a building and cracked him in the head. its pretty much a different version of jackass.

^ Jackass from what I've seen they seem to draw the line at mutilating themselves and property. Fucking with other people is fucked. Especially the people who have slipped through the cracks in society, and just staying alive and sane from day to day is an enormous task.

ive never watched any of these and have no desire to.

however i can say this:

late at night before i go to bed, i have tendencies to smoke a little of the farmers weed. ill watch tv for a short while to entertain my brainless needs, well needless to say, i get a little frustrated and annoyed with the american public. watching shows where they roam the crowds asking questions that most people would know the answer to... and these people usually are cracking up while they answer something completely stupid. why is a lack of education SO DAMN FUNNY!?

or when the girls gone wild infomercials are on... i cant help but watch them. however anytime i see the parts where the girls are alone with the camera crew in a hotel room or something like that, i cant help but think "why did you let yourself get into that situation?" perhaps i read into more than i should, but i think its horrifying and disgusting that people let themselves get taken advantage of for the sake of money for public humiliation.

And I don't have to be doing to something for homeless people to realise that hypnotik is a stupid sociopath. Is it too much of a stretch of your imagine to realise that negatively fucking with homeless people is worse than not doing anything at all?

The most I have ever done for homeless people is give out money and cigarettes when encountering them on a street level. Yet somehow I still feel like I'm taking the higher ground by not watching people making them fight for drugs and money. Strange eh?

Maybe I should go out and watch and enjoy some rape porn because I have never joined up with a womens help service.
