I hear all the time about how BET is degrading to blacks, etc, from many black ppl but it seems to come more from white ppl....
Its detrimental to black women, to people in the hood, makes them look bad, etc....
Well why aint no one out there complaining that MTV makes WHITE people look bad!?

MTV is full of some of the most shallow-ass pathetic, disgusting programming I ever seen. theres the funny shit, like the late night stuff that i sometimes watch like Punkd now and then but for real. sshit liek Real World. Laguna Beach. Which i never seen but unfortuantely seen the commercials for.
All this shit is so crazy. Most if not all the people on there are upper middle class....many many are white....its centered around a certain lifestyle that makes white people look like a bunch of preppy, college, well off, superficial, not so intelligent, sneaky, bitchy, backstabbing, fake, self-interested, vain, bitches and assholes who dont see shit of the world outside them.
Now everybody KNOW it aint really like that, bt again and again i see on TV these rich white families with they cute problems like their teen daughter dating a dude whose from the wrong side of the tracks (read: hes a skater who drinks on the weekend - OH NO!)
I know im over simplyfying, CUZ MTV OVERSIMPLIFIES.
Its a fuckin channel of sound bytes and images flashed together with catchy music thats fuckin got millions of ppl watching it like its fuckin god.
The shows show off the type of ppl that seem to be some of the worse examples of how affluent non minority ppl can act behave and think....
The ungratefulness for shit that some of us would consider it amazing to have, liek when chicks bitch that, Oh, my god, they only got 400$ shoes for chiristmas instead og the 600$ ones they wanted!!! boo hoo!
or the super sweet 16 show, which is just straight up nauseating....9it aint all white ppl too cuz i remember one black chick was on there)
But what im sayin is, a large part of MTVs audience aint black ppl from the hood. ill put it like that.
Just the same, white ppl watch BET. and there is movies and shit that aint all black on that channel too. but people still bitch that its making black people look bad.
So why aint people realizing that the SHIT they play on MTV, from a outsiders point of view (by outsider i dont mean non white cuz im sure yall will clown on that, but i mean not rich, not familiar with the types of lifestyles they show on that channel) is representing something that looks so fuckin fake and shallow and overall disgusting....there is always the exceptions, liek Runs House, which i actually like and even doe they are rich, they pretty down to earth...but the majority of it is rich white people fuckin around like the world is they private playground and they can do whateva they want with it and throw tantrums and bitch and moan abuot the stupidest shit like spoiled little brats.....Why aint people tryina change the stereotypes they show on that show that make white people look bad? or do they not mind looking the way they do and think that its completely normal to be that way?
