English is a commodity abroad, and I've always heard that tutors can make bank. Recently, a close family friend moved to Thailand to live with a bunch of Americans tutoring English, and he says many of them don't have any formal training.
Anybody have knowledge on this? I'd be especially interested in anything relating to the U.S. reception of teachers who have taught abroad without degrees upon their homecoming and looking for a job state-side.
