Turning Codeine back into a powder after doing a CWE?

Indeed it is! When I get vicodins I do a cwe with the whole bottle. Once I get it seperated I pour my liquid in a large glass baking dish and I put it in the oven at the LOWEST SETTING which for me is 170 and just evaporate the water and your left with a powder. DO NOT USE A HIGHER SETTING. Opiates are destroyed at high temps. But it works great! I snort the crystally powder and let me tell you... Whew! Works wonders!!! Just use a warm setting and you will be golden. It will take several hours to evaporate though. Also I found a syringe with a cotton ball works as the best filter method
 
Just check on it after about 2-3 hours depending on how much water you use. Once all the water is gone its good to go. You will need a razor blade to scrape it all off. Will take about 3+ hours. I pull it out at like 3 hours and just move the liquid around because it tends to puddle so it takes longer. The shallower the liquid is the faster the evaporation. And if your oven goes that low, do about 150-170 farenheit. I don't know the c-f conversion

According to google 40 degrees Celsius = 104 degrees Fahrenheit which is pretty cool (excuse the pun lol) seeing as high temps destroy opiates.

I did this the other day, I used 20 tabs = 160mg of codeine and 300,g of caffeine 20-30ml of water.

-crushed tabs
- put into the water and in the freezer for a few mins
- took them out and filtered using 2 coffee filters
- put the solution into a porcelain plate and onto the stove on the lowest setting it didn't have water steaming from it.
- left it for about 20-30 mins I think can't remember exact but I did another CWE of codeine for myself in the mean time while watching it.
- i would take it out before the water fully evaporates as it will continue to evaporate for a while. it also makes it easier to remove the codeine.

it kinda becomes a ball and feels a bit rubbery, it will dissolve into water but a big chunk will take a bit of time.
 
^ ^ Thanks for the tip about using two coffee filters I was going to use one but seeing as i've got fifty of the things two sounds like a better idea! ;)
 
Wouldn't it be easier to just suck it up and drink the CWE liquid than go to all that effort?

I'm not bothered by the taste at all, I have tasted much worse things than Codeine lol ;) It was more for portability like Psychedelic Jay said plus it will be easier to measure out a smaller dose from a bigger batch this way rather than doing multiple CWE's.

And it's not really that much effort lol it's only a couple of hours in an oven, I can watch TV n check on it every so often, no biggie =D
 
I suppose you're right if you do multiple doses at once.

Just keep in mind that you'll end up with binders/APAP in the end solution, so it's not gonna be pure codeine, apparently not by a long shot. Still a lot more convenient than liquid form, but keep that in mind when dosing.
 
Your best bet it to just snort the powder. And to whoever said not to let it evaporate all the way is wrong. Also, use atleast 150f degrees or you will be waiting all day, litterally. Also there will be no steam coming off at that low of a temperature. And the coffee filter method SUCKS. Use a syringe without a needle with a cotton ball at the end. It will filter better as well as much faster. I have done CWE many many times and that is the best way/method I have found

the lower the temperature the greater yield but unless you boiling it, it'd be ok... petri dishes in a warm place would be my method

or just a really big flat lipped/rimmed surface then dry it out like a bottle of ket.


you'd struggle to recrystallise it if there are any impurities in it
