Turn that FROWN upside down jnr, or not. Why the upside down smile?

Not just microwave popcorn, but popcorn in general. And I love it even more for the fact that there's no way someone created it theoretically. There wasn't any Leonardos, or Einsteins, or Franklins, or Watsons and Cricks, dreamily thinking 'Hey you know that oil and moisture in the imperviously hulked dry corn kernel, well, if I was to heat that past boiling point... Fuck, get me a fire!'

It was just probably a pre-corn bread grinding food fight gone wrong when someone misthrew their missile, intended for an eye injury, into the fire. Thank you Native American individual.

Modern? I'm thinking the first time someone squeezed a drop of oil out of a olive they would have thought 'lets chuck some dried corn in there and see what happens'

We were woken up in the early hours of the morning by a fire alarm. I'd been listening to the building next to us be evacuated for about 15 minutes and was lying in bed thinking, 'Please don't sound the alarm. Please don't sound the alarm.' Of course, it goes off. Not that we actually evacuated. Leecie stood on the balcony for a while though, if that counts.

Problem was I couldn't get back to sleep and was tired all day. I came back from my cigarette break to a post-it on my computer which said, 'SO CRANKS!'

Hmmph. True. I used to be so good at dealing with Tired. Now, not so much.

Dust storm + hayfever and asthma = cranky leecie

Between the fire alarm the night before last and then the wind last night I haven't slept in 2 nights and now I can't breathe.

Being an adult and being sick sucks. I need someone to whine to who is going to tell me that I will feel better soon and dote on me.

I can handle pain, bust me in the mouth and I'll quite happily sit in the casualty department for 7 hours waiting to get stitches, but feeling yuck I just can't do!

So anyway, I've taken all my medical knowledge into consideration and prescribed myself beer.

Oh and an old friend is about to have a kid (any time now) and get married. I'm heaps happy for her but I wish she never moved to Perth so she could have stayed here and married me!

I do enjoy her Friday calls immensely though.

So true. All I want when I'm sick is for my mum to be around to give me a cuddle and hold my spew bucket :(

My frown is hearing my name in a conversation in the other room. Chances are I'm about to be given more work or I've done something wrong and am about to get in trouble!

Brisbane yesterday. So eerie.. yet kind of cool. My asthma and hay fever were in overdrive so it was more of a frown for me, although I can see why non-allergic people would have loved the show!

Cleaning the house for grand final day when it is just going to get completely trashed again. It seems so pointless.

Need to find another room mate - can't afford for the spare room to be empty for long :(

I want to punch everyone in my office today (except my desk buddy - she is my only salvation).

I hate everyone and everything right now. Fuck it.

Bicyclists who think they own the road. Don’t yell at me when I’m going on the green and you’re running a red light! Ride on the road obey the fucking road rules.

Going to buy my daughter a bike and finding out how fucking expensive they are, 300-500 for a girls bike that's just fucked!!!!!! Fucking Bicycle shops!!!

Looks like we are headed to Kmart.

^I wouldn't get anything too pricey for a child - they tend to grow out of things waaaay too quickly to invest any real money into them. Wait until they're about 15-ish and have done a fair amount of their growing, then get them a decent ride. :)
