Trying to get an anxiolytic prescribed???

I hate to break it to you - as other kind posters have, but what you described is NOT a panic-attack.

That is somebody letting their anger escalate. You may have had something annoying you, and if a trigger comes along, and it keeps happening, you feel stressed and get angry/emotional.

A panic attack is more like when you get tachycardia, palpitations, uncontrollable sweating and a feeling of anxiety at the top of your stomach - your mind is constantly racing thinking "What is wrong" "Am I going to die" etc. They are just common symptoms of an anxiety/panic attack

"I've been having panic attacks over small things like if I trip over my shoe laces I'll start getting angry, and the anger will turn into me just standing still with tears in my eyes ready to scream. its really a horrible feeling that just drags me down"

No prob! The idea was actually suggested to me by a friend and it turned out to be quite effective! :) Good luck - keep us posted.

I recently read that keeping a journal can have a significantly positive impact on depression and anxiety. I don't remember the exact stats but people who kept journals did a lot better on depression and anxiety tests later. It was based on a study. So its definitely great advice for the OP.

It seems to me like the OP is set on getting benzos. It doesn't seem like he will take anyone's advice that he shouldn't be on benzos. He will find reasons why he should be on benzos. It doesn't seem that he wants treatment for his problems. It seems like he is just trying to get some benzos to feel good regardless of whether he needs them or not. At least that's how I see it. He hasn't been back cuz the advice doesn't fit what he is looking for.
