The dark, stormy sky surrounding my own bliss
shields my eyes from it’s actuality.
The rain falls everywhere i go,
but my damp body protects my dry mind.
It thinks my mind has a filthy stain
How do you wash something you can’t see?
It thinks i’m a dark spot on a bright shirt,
but the sky is dark, and i am bright.
The rain has me soaking wet;
I think I’m getting sick.
“Don’t worry,” my father says,
“it’s just a cold; it will pass.”
It’s raining harder now;
the drops keep on coming.
My drenched body should be heavier,
but it seems that i’ve losing weight.
I think it’s starting to flood - It is.
The water is cold.
My feet are numb.
I can hardly move through this mess.
Does this storm not have a heart?
Does it want to make me suffer,
or does it not understand what pain is?
What a confused power...
What’s this? The rain has stopped.
Has the storm given up?
As i feal the rain dripping off of me,
I feel like im getting heavier.
Suddenly, the wind blew,
and the dark storm moved on.
I notice something new about the sky:
It’s not raining on everything anymore.
shields my eyes from it’s actuality.
The rain falls everywhere i go,
