Try out this stimulant comedown remedy

I rarely do amphetamines these days so I won't get a chance to experiment with this again any time soon. I feel really relaxed and pretty euphoric, almost like I just took some benzos. Ordinarily I would be in the midst of comedown hell right now so whatever I did worked, I urge other people to try this out themselves cuz its a relatively healthy comedown remedy. When the comedown came on and I started feeling nervous, dysphoric and agitated, I first took 3 bacopa extract capsules (which contain 70 mg of bacopa saponins, I got them in whole foods, the brand is Himalaya). Then megadosed lemon balm and inositol. The lemon balm is just plant powder, I took about 50 capsules containing 400 mg each, so about 20g of lemon balm powder. 5g of inositol.

The reasoning behind why I went for these substances is that lemon balm is a GABA transaminase inhibitor, meaning it stops GABA from getting metabolised. Bacopa increases levels of tryptophan hydroxylase. I don't really know too much about inositol, I just here it upregulates serotonin and is good for amp comedowns. I don't know which of these substances is remedying the comedown, or whether its a combination or what, this needs more experimentation. I have a feeling its the lemon balm. So for others who wanna test this out, if you can only get one of these before your next amp session, get the lemon balm. If you can get two, go for inositol. 3 capsules of bacopa wasn't very much at all so I don't think that contributed much, but I'd never experimented with bacopa for comedowns until tonight so I don't know. I wish I'd got into megadosing supplements years, I didn't realise that the recommended doses are usually way too low, you need to up things massively to feel the effects.

EDIT: The GABA transaminase inhibitor in lemon balm is called rosemarin. It'd be interesting to experiment with the pure compound. Lemon balms pretty cheap and easy to grow.

Basically inositol is just like aspartame which is just like sugar, they basically are quickly-absorbed carbohydrates that a fuel-starved brain is going to crave, which is why you crave sugary food after or during a meth binge, because it makes you expend more energy than usual and the brain has to work harder as it is being forced to release more dopamine and serotonin than it should, and as carbohydrates are considered the fuel of the brain, and simple ones enter the bloodstream much faster, this helps the with the comedown as it doesn't require as much energy to digest and helps your brain to repair damages synapses and neurotransmitters with the fuel from food and drink.

As for any kind of GABA or anxiolytic medicine, this works because the central nervous system was overtaxed and likely muscle fiber was injured if the person who did the meth exercised, had sex, or did any movement, and so you can be prone to shaking or having painful but brief spasms in your back, as well as an extreme sensitivity to being touched (like bugs are crawling on me), plus looking in the mirror the eyes will see more detail and hyper-focus on blemishes, which causes the whole skin picking thing. Basically the anti-anxiety gets rid of these sensations and thoughts (GABA basically does the same thing), plus it gets rid of the obsessive thoughts that come after a meth binge.

Can't really speak much to the rest of it. ASide from tryptophan being just something to improve serotonin.

Basically the best thing to do after a meth comedown is to drink adequate water with sodium in it, eat a reasonable amount of food (making sure to get a balance of protein, fat, potassium, fiber, and carbs), getting some supplements or nutrients (Magnesium, Zinc, B Vitamins really important here), then sleep for awhile.

Beyond that the only thing to do is wait for the brain to fully repair its damaged serotonin and dopamine (which takes only a few days if you lightly used, few weeks with moderate use, or six months to a year with really heavy use) receptors. Something like an anti-depressant can help a lot, but they take weeks to really show effect, so it really isn't recommended, plus then you have another drug addiction to contend with. Another solution is simply using less taxing stimulants, or less of them to "wean off" instead of going cold turkey (because a stimulant comedown or crash is not just an overnight thing, it can be something you are for months, although it constantly gets better as long as you don't relapse).

So there's also benzos for getting rid of anxiety, any kind of downer really is the only real solution to counter this kind of withdrawal. Problem is you are then hooked on some depressant instead of a stimulant, but if you are just in the early stages of addiction, then something like a few shots of liquor or benzos for a few weeks isn't going to cause a problem, then you can drop it and feel great.

Another last thing to really try is cognitive behavior therapy, hypnosis, and meditation.

The way are a "normal" person gets dopamine is from doing fun things. They get serotonin by feeling emotions.

Stimulants if abused rob you of all pleasure doing fun things unless you are under their influence, and you cannot feel without them (and after awhile you start getting really fucked up emotions and ethics from the stimulants, aside from ecstasy, but that's em pathogenic, most the stimulants tend to diminish empathy and maximize self-pitying and victim mentality, which is how a good honest person who becomes a speed freak can justify stealing from their friends and family, ripping people off, and other horrendous shit, because they just demonize their victims and make themselves feel victimized, something that happens because empathy is also a chemical, and stimulants strip you of empathy, because they give it to you in high doses, so they take it away in high amounts).

A really stimulant addict needs to basically re-learn how to live, everything from showering in the morning and brushing their teeth, to going for a walk outside and wearing proper clothing, to learning to make a resume and apply for a job, to forming relationships with people who aren't themselves messed-up addicts, it is like being reborn, and it is hell.

No supplements make this process perfect, but if you combine your method with the re-training of your behavior from hypnosis, meditation, or cognitive behavior therapy, you can teach your brain to heal itself and rebuild much faster than if you simply try to sleep and eat it off.
