Growing your own always yields more, but you have to be careful and make sure you do it right, or else you might ruin the batch and have none at all .

magic truffles? is there some kind of psilocybin truffle or something? all the truffles i have ever had have been expensive like drugs, and do have an intoxicating aroma, but are def not psychedelic. someone fill me in?

Yes, there are psilocybe sclerotia available. Google P. Atlantis, P. Tampenensis or P. Atlantis for more information.

Of the two, grow shroom kit. Better still grow your own shrooms from spores using an improved PF-tek. If you get your supplies (mason jars, storage bins) second hand, it'll be much cheaper with much more potential product. Go to the Shroomery, one of it's only good points is the information you can get on mushroom cultivation.

Though on a related note, we all know the saying: "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime"

Growkits will prob be better than trying to grow truffles - I think growing truffles takes about 6 months plus whereas growing your own standard mushrooms is about 2-3 months. Growkits yield is very low - prob better buying a few whisky glasses and following the pf-tek.
