terribly stupid question, but w.t.f. did 'marney' do to eric at the end? when his teeth popped in i figured she "brought him back to life"/un-vampired* him, but he's clearly still a vampire....

bill needs to go away all ready. and since they killed the queen i guess there won't be a vampire summit plot in a few seasons time? because that entire book revolved around sookie working for the queen at the summit. so that's cool alan ball, clearly you know nothing about what you're making. nice...
 
^He's deviated from the books almost entirely already, is it so shocking that its happening in this situation?

I have to admit I havent read the books, so with an outside perspective I'm just really enjoying where they're going with things, thus far.
 
God this show is awesome. I flipped over to this discussion just to see what people think about the new season or make a new thread if there wasn't one... I figured there would be. Tonight's episode is going to be nuts.

I'm just glad Alcide's back. Feel bad for Jason. Tommy's getting on my nerves, he always has bad intentions. Marnie's sick as fuck. Lafayette needs to relax, and Sookie should of told him so he doesn't go looking for Eric. And the ending was the best.... YOU KILLED MY FAIRY GODMOTHER! "oh, sorry?"

i thought the last ep was a major let down :-/

i give no shit about fairy-werepanthers. i'm kinda interested in the tommy/skinwalker storyline... i have a feeling he's gonna kill hoyt's mom in the next few episodes, so he can assume her identity and steal the natural gas money.
 
from what i understood that wasn't possible. humans were too complex (as sam said) for shifters to assume their identity. jason's gang rape was really uncomfortable to watch :/
 
they can assume their identities (and become "skinwalkers") if they kill another shifter who was in their family. sam could kill his brother and become a skinwalker, do away w/ that woman, and get her $$ (i'm presuming it'll go that way, doubt he'll succeed tho).

some people haven't called what happened to jason rape, but it most certainly is. Crystal has sex with him, against his will after giving him a viagra rip off. I assumed that after she was done, all of her sistercousins or whatever that were watching in the wings with bloody lips were next. it was vile and uncomfortable.
 
The two rape scenes from last season and this season were handled completely differently. We were shown to "like" Franklin....
 
i'm actually mad disappointed with the removal of Franklin. i thought he could be a good character to have working around with Tara, because imho Tara is the dullest, flattest, shallowest character in the whole fucking series. If Franklin had stayed around, I think they could have used him to make Tara into someone I should give a shit about. As it stands, I like her away from everyone else and in New Orleans, not fucking anyone elses shit up. Tara is probably my least favourite character, and as far as i'm concerned, Franklin was the best thing that ever happened to her story arc.
 
^ oh yeh Tara grates on my nerves too, just painful to watch (listen to) her scenes. Jessica's too to some degree. Pretty big contrast having just watched game of thrones with such strong female characters like Cersei and Dany to come back to this where so many of the leads are just plain annoying... that said Pamela fucking rocks! =D

I agree about Jason's gang rape scene being pretty distrubing too *shudders*... I have to say he's one of my favourite characters. No bias that he's an Aussie actor... >.> <.<
 
Agreed on the Jason scene.
It was uncomfortable.

Tara, yeah, I dislike her most this season.
She's a good actress- but her character is annoying and dull.

The Eric/witches thing is good though.
I'm really curious as to who the woman channeling through whatsherfacewitch.
I was disappointed with the whole fairy world too- but each episode has been better than the last.
I'm hoping it continues.
 
I think Erik was serious at first, but he's just faking it now. Something gives me that feeling. It sounds like classic Eric, at least from the TV series.
