In other news, I'm pretty much ridiculously excited for the season premiere tonight. I was just reading that you can go online on HBO GO and watch episode two right after if you're a subscriber....

i do not pretend to not know what is up. i'm just furious that there are people who have seen x more episodes than me and that some dickwad walked out on his check today at work and i was hungover all day etc etc :! you know i still love you <3
 
meh, not so happy with like 75 percent of what i saw. do not like where alan ball is going with a lot of this. like, at all. seems like he totally used charlaine harris as a jumping board and explioited her stories and characters for his own shit. so dumb. if a show started out like this season, with this episode as a pilot, would not have gotten picked up anywhere imo. big time wtf. episode 2 better not be as retarded. i'm about to be totally done with this show :/
 
i'm totally okay without following the books, because personally, i don't think the series would have survived one season without Lafayette.
 
Episode 2, is beyond great actually to those disappointed by 1. I really like where things are going, alot especially: beware spoilers ahead if you haven't watched!!

With Eric getting the spell on him, and it's going to be interesting how it's going to be reversed, and how did Bill become king all of a sudden? He's only 180 years old, isn't there like older more experienced kings..and how he killed the Queen because she knew of Sookie's "fairyness"....so much my head is spinning.

marissa- I totally agreed about the first episode. The second gets MUCH better. As a fellow book reader, I think you'll be happy with where this is going. :)
 
haha my mistake! i posted that from my cell phone, forgot the tags. my internet hasn't been working the past few weeks.

i'm going to have to DL the 2nd episode then, i'm still hesitant but if they keep eric's storyline mostly true to the books this season will be watchable
 
Yeah- the 2nd episode made up for the first.
Now I'm pissed I have to wait even longer for the third though :D
Now that I've seen the second one and it has me hooked........

I watched the second episode right after the first, and I'm having trouble separating what was in the first versus what was in the second.

All I can say is that I really enjoyed them both and I'm stoked to see what the rest of the season holds!!
