trouble with wacker oxidation

A foaf is having trouble in the wacker oxidation process. He added 700ml dimethylformamide, 100ml dH2O, 17.5g Palladium Chloride, and 170g cupric chloride to his three neck flask....now the issue is that he didnt have the stirring on durring the addition, and the cupric and palladium have now formed a solid cake on the bottom of his flask!

Does anyone know what is happening and what to do about it???!!?!?!??! Please any thoughts may help and time is of the essence.
