Trouble sleeping on LSD

I took a 5mg valium two nights ago, smoked a bunch of weed with it & still couldn't sleep. FTL.

I'm in the same boat. I always had trouble sleeping as a child, and I'm thinking that this behaviour extends to afterglow as well. I haven't had much success trying to will myself to sleep, so I just stay up and be as relaxed as I can until either exhaustion hits me or someone else in the group (would you believe I have yet to trip solo?) wakes up.
 
When I'm ready to stop trippin i just pop a xanex full bar and i'm out within the hour. Smoke to kick it in. it works wonders
 
Try next time you take acid having a night/early-morning trip, this leaves you down by the morning and you can let off that energy and enjoy your day and if you wish have an early night. This is generally done around the trippers I have heard of.
 
Takes me 12 or a little more hours post-dose to pass out after an acid trip. As the poster above mentioned, dosing in the morning and doing a day trip makes it so you are quite ready to pass out by your intended bed time.
 
I experience trouble sleeping after lsd but luckily i am prescribed valium so i just eat a 10mg and fall asleep pretty quick.
i cant really think of any ways to switchoff though try listening to music really quiet ive found tht helps me,.
 
If you take LSD you're not going to be able to sleep until you come down and it's been some time after that.

I've never taken benzos while tripping since I never had access to them and I didn't want to kill the experience.

I've heard of people taking LSD and then going to sleep and then waking up tripping when the drug kicks in but what's the point of that? You could just take it earlier in the day or night and then just stay awake and enjoy it.

I couldn't do that if I tried. I get too anxious pre-trip to shut my mind up enough to dose, pass out and wake up in 45 minutes. Seems like a hell of a lot of going out of your way (at least it would be for me).
