trouble peeing while on opiates

Does anyone else have a problem pissing once they have done a lot of pain pills? Especially Oxycontin? When i do an 80 i have a hard time pissing. It seems to take a fucking hour and all i get out is a little trickle:!. Why is this?
 
yeah this happens with opiates, DXM, and some others as well. I forgot the exact reason why, but I think it has something to do with your muscles not contracting as well and therefor making it harder to excrete your urine. Anyways someone on BL will surely correct me and explain it better.

Some helpful hints:
Sit down on the toilet
Press on the area about where the top of your pubes are
Lean forward while sitting down
Run the sink/bath water
Close your eyes and imagine yourself taking the best piss ever
If all else fails try running some warm water over the head of your dick (if you have one), as this usually gets the juices flowing.

If you absolutely can not piss, call the 911 and tell them that you would like to be catheterized8o


...I have had too much experience in this area on all my different binges. Trust me, make yourself piss. Catheters are NOT fun!:!

This made me laugh out loud, but it is very good advice. I don't find I have much of a problem with urinary retention, but if I do, I picture myself by a beautiful creek(for me this is in Appalachia, Western NC) in the shade, with a full bladder, all by myself, just ready to let it flow. This ususally does the job. Listen to the water flowing...
 
dude this is actually a funny story...I was having such a hard time pissing because of my drug binges I would go on, that I decided to take a video clip of me taking a piss. Then I would jsut replay it while I was fucked up and couldn't piss....a bit weird, I know. but it worked like a fucking charm everytime!
 
This effect is due to the different ways that certain drugs interact with the micturition pathway and thus cause urinary retention.

It is associated with drugs that have anticholinergic activity (e.g. antipsychotic drugs, antidepressant agents and anticholinergic respiratory agents), opioids and anaesthetics, alpha-adrenoceptor agonists, benzodiazepines, NSAIDs, detrusor relaxants and calcium channel antagonists.

I take opioids on a regular basis for chronic pain so I know how you feel. Try over the counter diuretics or talk to your doctor for other prescription options.
 
lol ohh man i hate when that shit happens in school. ill be at a urinal, and there would be other ppl in the restroom and im just standing there and piss just doesnt come out
 
I think that sounds like something entirely different: Stage Fright!

Or maybe you are snorting dope in school, who knows
 
This is how i know im high enough, i sti there and have to think and push really hard, and even then i sometimes have to stop and start again haha
 
It sucked last week because i was at my probation officer and i had to piss like a sailor, i mean it was about to bust out the tip, then she brought up me taking a drug test and like a shockwave it was gone. I stood in the bath room with my hand on my dick for almost 10 minutes with the dude watching me. I asked him to turn on the water and i went to my Happy Urination Spot..............and promptly failed my drug test..............
 
I am on Lasix 40mg tablets. Ask your doc for a script and you are supposed to take potassium with it. The first time I took it, I lost 5 pounds in 24 hours because I wE retaining too much fluid

In the mean time, sit down on the toilet and sit with your back upright and supported by the tank, just relax and it will flow. When you stand up or lean forward it places pressure on your prostate.

Yeah sitting down helps sometimes too. If you ever take diphenhydramine with your opiates (or any anticholingernic potentiator) it makes it even worse.

I believe it hits ur u-opioid receptor and fucks with your prostate, making it hard to piss.
