Opioids Trouble getting proper effects from opana IR

I just had a discogram and my PM doctor put me on Opana IR 10mg. What is the best way to take these? I have been on so many sites reading about all the different ways and nothing seems to be hitting the spot. I have a pretty high tolerance to opiates I was IVing 24mg of dilaudid just to put a stop to the pain. These don't seem to draw up as nicely.... anyone out there know of anything that would help get my through until I can get back on the dilaudid? though I have heard that Opana is much better.... there has got to be something I am doing wrong!

So the only real alternative to IV (100% BA) would be nasal at about 40%.

I'm guessing you are going to stick with IVing in which case there isn't really that much else to add. Unless your prep/injection procedure is wrong or you missed some of the shot, you should be requiring about 2/3 of your hydromorphone dose as per...

I tried it the same way I would my Dilaudid but it turns in to paste.
crushed it up added saline used my fliter.... which by the way took way to long to draw up. The D pulls up quickly and leaves a nice clear solution. I know I was in since I was using a 22 gauge IV... I flushed before so I know the IV was working. I also tried Nasal route and that was a complele waste of the pill. all I would like is this pain to leave. Thanks for changing the topic first time posting anything.....

How big are the pills, are you adding enough water to turn it to a solution? I'm assuming you have tried that since you have experience with IV. I did a quick conversion, and 24mg hydromorphone = 16mg oxymorphone (both IV, no cross tolerance considered). You probably should be doing two, because if 24mg of hydromorphone only takes the edge off, then 10mg oxymorphone isn't going to be noticeable.
 
I have added more saline and more saline but its so hard to get it through my fliter needles that I use with the D. I even tried using cotton but since I have never had to use that before maybe that is my problem. I get all my stuff from a hospital. always have a new needle. etc.... I was thinking maybe they gave me the ER but I dont think that is the case. I just tried 20 mg and i got so frusterated i ended up flushing the stuff. I have an endless supply of just about anything I want so wasting stuff isn't a problem to me. Just need to figure out how to draw the stuff up..... what I didn't draw up just made me feel calm but no rush like D and didn't even take the edge of the pain.... damn opiates! :X;)
 
My experience with the Opana IR (mostly the blue 5mg but had the pink 10mg once) is that they are very hard to suck up as something in them seems to clog up the filter really quick.

Try using a lot of water and filter slowly using multiple cotton filters first then run what you get through your micron filter. Repeat process with what ever is left over in the spoon to get all of the OM out.

I found that using heat causes the material that tends to clog the filter to separate out and makes it a lot easier to filter but as we all know heating pills is bad news and in no way harm reduction unless you know exactly what you are doing and using micron filters once the solution has been properly cooled and the particles that became soluble at the higher temp have been allowed to precipitate out.

Someone around here has a picture that shows and explains the idea behind the process of heating and cooling and a filter to pull all of the good stuff out with out getting the bad.

Hope this helps. I would take what you have over dillies any day unless you were getting 2-3 times as many dillies as you are getting Opana.
 
I get 240 of dilaudid a month and he just gave me 120 of opana for the first time ever. I think the batch of filter needles I have are bad. I was having a hard time with the dilaudid which is strange. this has happened one time before. I will just have to have my friend pick up some more for me tomorrow. I have the white 10 mg Opana, how much saline should I be using? I don't use water saline is much better for your body.... not that it matters. ;)

I don't use that much when i do the dilaudid but I am thinking that opana needs more since it gets super thick. Just not seeing what all the fuse is with this opana stuff. Kinda wish I didn't give away my Dilaudid.... kinda a sucker when someone says they are in pain... gotta fix that! when i do get some of the solution in the syringe its super clear but there seems to be so much paste left over in the pill cup. I have heard of people letting it sit over night??? I guess the paste is seperating from the saline and the saline is suppose to be pulled up? I don't even sound experince and I have been doing D for months.... they are hands down the best drug out there.... unless I can figure this guy out!
 
I personally have not had any experience with the white ones as I have only seen the prink 10mg and blue 5mg versions so I do not know exactly what to tell you about the exact pills you have.

I am under the assumption that since they are not time released you can always just mix well and let sit or use a centrifuge to separate the water soluble oxymorphone from the insoluble binders and fillers, then micron filter to take everything else out.

I know there is a thread somewhere about using a centrifuge specifically for 10mg Opana, but again I have never seen or heard of the white ones.
