TRON: Legacy

I am sure this film is going to have amazing special effects and great action sequences. I don't like the fact that Jeff Bridges is supposedly stuck in the game still. I mean if you have seen the original Tron, you know he escapes. But I can't see how it is going to be better then the first film. Just saw the trailer, and it doesn't really excite me. Its not bad but I don't know if I am going to pay $11.00 to go see it in theaters.
 
I vote for a 3D movies + PDs central topic, before each separate movie gets a thread... sorry, I just think it sticks out like a sore thumb ;)

More constructive now: why don't you check out the PD thread for Avatar 3D and Alice in Wonderland and see what people took when going to see it and if it was a success? Could be helpful
 
I don't mind a separate thread for each new 3D flick as they come out... the "MEGA THREAD" about a generalized topics are too bland, IMO, to attract much interest even if they pop to the top of the list when there new posts.

I prefer a new topic with a new name that precisely describes EACH new discussion... putting them ALL under a generic topic is like obscuring them... What the hell's the point exactly??? It's not like we are running out of "real estate" or something that we need to conserve and consolidate. I *HATE* excessive moderation... just seems like Mods who have some need to feel useful and run around rearranging stuff because they can (no offense to anyone, just my 2 cents).

And yes, 3D movies are AWESOME tripping. Doesnt matter which psychedelic you do. Take your pick. As an early afficianado of 3D computer modeling and synthetic imagery, the original TRON really thrilled me, and I and VERY excited to see to new rendition in true 3D (not the stacked flat planes of converted films.. although "Alice" I thought did it pretty well and it enhanced the trippiness... in places, like Caterpillar hookah smoke cloud, it seemed like true 3D, Ive no idea how they did it but it looked awesome.

Anyway, from the looks of the style of the previews, I bet TRON in 3D IMAX is going to knock our socks off while tripping!
 
so what would be a good psychedelic?

i imagine it shouldnt be too overpowering, since the movie/3d visuals are already supposed to be great.
 
2c-i i would personally recommend AGAINST because it causes too much muscle tension for myself. 2c-i and sitting still for two hours? no thanks.

personally i would stick with a low dose of proven-visual compound for youself. like shrooms or 4-aco-dmt
 
2ce yea it can be intense on the body but take a 25mg benadryl cap before 2ce and you will feel great as it cancels out 2ce's bodyload totally.

2ci is what Ive used at movies because it is NOT confusing to the mind like shrooms, and tends NOT to cause any paranoia or freakouts like both shrooms and lsd. Take it 1-1.5 hours before the movie...after that the come-up stimmyness abates a great deal and I dont get any excess tension after that, just pure calm Zen cosmic floaty mental trippiness... but there are a thousand different opinions, so to each his own.

I would always suggest for dosing in public something you are already familiar with so you know what to choose on your own and know how you will feel.

(NEVER do a strong psychedelic for the first time at a public thing like a movie.... always only in safety and comfort of your or friend's home.)
 
I hated 2ci at the movies.. too much of a body load for me. I.was itching. To leave.
