Tripping with someone on different drugs?

Hi Everyone!

I'm wondering about this. I recently did 2x150µg AL-LAD each with my friend and although it was fun I found it was lacking a bit. I now only have 4x150µg tabs left. I was thinking of taking them for my next trip and giving my friend some 4-AcO-DMT or 2C-I/2C-E.

What do you think of using different drugs when tripping with someone?
 
Rough figures of duration and time to onset is known.
if every participant agrees, go for it. I don't see a problem if you and your friend know beforehand what you're doing.
 
I don't see a huge problem with that but generally speaking from experience when two people or more trip together they want to use the same substance. When you do say use the same substance the peaks and waves that go threw you sync up with the other partaker. I plan entire days of fasting or eat the exact same amount and take the same dose if they are the same lb range. All because I want our experiences to synchronize in a sense.
Never fun to be the guy saying "WOAH THAT CURTAIN PATTERN IS SO TRIPPY!!!" While the other one is just thinking about sleeping now that he already had his run on the drug, as in many cases it will ground the experience for the "Trippier" canidate and over diminish the mood.

Never tried AL-LAD but if you two are on different levels it could promote profound insights as you both are able to draw upon different information. This is a best case scenario. Worse case one person freaks out and the other is fine. Many times people that go to festivals I've noticed are on different levels and let me tell you it really shows! The best thing i found like i said is dosing the same time same substance and generally staying with those people.

Now it's really up to you SunnyHours, those are just some of the pro's and con's above but I have zero experience with LAD.
You said you had 4 hits? Couldn't you just take 2 and some 4-aco-dmt or 2c-i and the other do the same? just a thought.

It's sometimes hard enough when you are at different timelines of the same drug. I guess it depends on how crucial the social aspect of your trip is to you.
 
If yer an atheist, or some other label who would not/cannot entertain 'shared consciousness' then as long as it is timed correctly I don't see much difference. If you don't fall into the above criteria, you might miss some valuable shared experiences.
 
Hmm I never really took it to seriously as some people because we were all tripping which in and of itself to me at least, is already a fairly strong basis for connection. It helps though if you take similar psychedelics of the same class with similar durations though but even without that it was still highly connective and fun. I'm not one to be too big on requirements or prerequisites except when it comes to set and setting or that sort of thing. The people I choose to trip with though are all experienced and good at handling as well as getting into a psychedelic mind space.
 
my first trip ever (as well as my first non-alcohol drug experience) was on mushrooms, while my friend was on LSD, and it was a little confusing, because i tripped much harder for much less time, and i started coming down before he started peaking fully.

I'd reccomend against it, but its not a huge problem.
 
I find that if I'm in a group of people.on different drugs the vibes just aren't there and we usually split into small groups with those who have taken the same substance. Since the durations of AL-LAD and 2c-i kinda match up that would be the one I would give to your friend although AL has more depth. It can be done but I prefer to trip alone or with others that have ingested the same chemical.
 
Seems to have worked out fine for me, particularly because individual responses to any given compound vary about as much as mean responses between compounds.

Well AL-LAD is around 5 hours of tripping while last time I did 4-AcO-DMT it was around 4 hours or so.
Does anybody know if there is cross-tolerance between both substance?
