Tripping on an Airplane

I had one of the most exquisite trips of my life in an airplane after accidentally dosing some DOC. I had a window seat though, and had some of the most spectacular visuals I've ever had (it was quite a high dose), but I was also at a window seat. I got view expansive vistas of cloud formations with brilliant sunset colors while listening to some good tunes on my ipod, so I was a happy camper, but it could turn out really bad. I also had to throw up in the airport bathroom before getting on the plane, and that was not fun. I'm pretty good at keeping my cool while tripping, though, and all in all I'd say my experience was abnormal, as far as tripping-in-airplane experiences go.

yeah one would think that not only could they charge you for possesion of a contorlled substance(assuming they found out) who knows what realm of others laws you would be breaking nowadays.....knowingly endangering others in such a manner......if you have to ask if it would be ok, this is the only advice i can give you

Don't... just don't.

If you act strange at all, the pilot could be alerted and force land the plane at another airport that is not your destination. It would cause travel delay for all the other passengers.

That in itself is not cool.
This wouldn't be a problem, as I am flying over the atlantic ocean towards Europe.

two words

crying
baby
This also isn't a problem as I am flying from a destination that only old people/people who have adult children travel from (or mostly).

I have decided against LSD though, might drop Methoxetamine or something similar though, haven't figured that one out quite yet.

er... the main question is "how much?"

if you're thinking about a 'decent' dose, just don't do it

I listen to the Medlink frequencies that pilots use to contact a doctor if there is a medical emergency on a flight. Mostly over the atlantic. They do have ativan on hand but it's very rare that the doc will recommend it. I've heard a few "zolpidem overdose" & "agitated passenger" calls. It's very uncommon for them to reroute & land. Actually, a flight attendant would probably be good at talking someone down from a bad trip because of the training they receive intended to deal with passengers who freak out.

If you do go the dissociative route, make sure you pee before it kicks in. Those narrow aisles might be a little difficult to navigate.

I've always wanted to try this, but I'd only do it under very specific circumstances.

I must take a low dose and I MUST be in a window seat and there MUST be nobody in the seat next to me, and nobody one seat away from me. Having a look at the earth below from a few miles up would be awesome, but only if I were certain I wouldn't have to talk to anyone.

I can just see tripping on acid and getting the idea that everyone else including the pilot was tripping too. LOL

Me, I would do this. I would not advise it though.

The take off would be really cool if you had a window seat. Once you're up there and stuck for hours though, no. That sounds completely awful to me.

There is no way on god's green earth I would even do a high powered psychedelic like LSD on a flight. Not being able to move, having all those people around, and being in an alien environment with recycled air and bad food just sounds like a nightmare in the making. The other thing is that LSD dilates time a lot so it might make the airplane ride seem like an eternity.

I've only ever smoked pot before getting on a flight and for me that was intense enough! If you decide to do it anyway, then may the force be with you and let us know how it goes!

Me personally I'd feel extremely claustrophobic to the point of panic and the mindfuck of being waaaaay up in the air going incredibly fast in a metal tube would be enough to lose my goddamn mind

However my friend did a bunch of shrooms before he flew to Amsterdam and he said it went fine....

"I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!"

Sounds like a quick way to get arrested if all goes downhill, trip-wise.

this is horrifying just to THINK about. in the event something goes wrong, have ones' options ever been so... limited?

having a negative experience/personality-shattering crisis?? remain sitting quietly in your extremely uncomfortable coach seat - that's right, squeezed betwixt the morbidly obese & the crying babies.

oh i forgot, you could always take your freakout into the 3x3 bathroom until the flight attendant knocks on the door.

personally, i've always had mega issues w/ the pressure experienced on even the shortest of flights. i can see this being torturous w/ a dose of ANY potent psychedelic thrown into the mix. i am also occasionally bothered by the thought of breathing recycled oxygen for the duration - any one of the irritable aspects of your typical coach flight have the potential to worsen thousandfold. in other words: NO FUCKING WAY.

or, you know, it could be like, totally life-changing.
