Tripping at a Museum

I'm getting some LSD this week and i would like to do it this saturday. I've only tripped on acid once before and i really liked it a lot. Other "trip" drugs i've done are salvia and dxm, and i'm a daily pot smoker.

So anyway, I was thinking of taking it at a Museum this weekend (the detroit institute of art to be specific!). What are your thoughts on tripping at museums? Or tripping in public in general. I've always been able to handle myself much better than most people while heavily under the influence, so I think i can handle it. Do you guys think this is too risky? Even if you tell me not to I'll probably do it anyway, so what are some helpful tips as to tripping in public?

I love tripping in public. Parks and playgrounds at night at my favorite.

But for some, it's a little hard to get used to. If you feel as though you can do it, then by all means do it - it's fun!

But try act somewhat normal. Being in a public area under the influence, in some places, can get you a fine or even a drug conviction. So be careful.

As for the museum idea - do it! I've done it! It's very interesting. But same rule applies - act somewhat normal, seeing as it's a museum families with children might be there.

If it becomes too much for you than you can always leave. I'd suggest leaving at the first hint of something going wrong, because when things go wrong on acid they go wrong pretty fast..

Tips? Bring an ipod and have headphones in (I don't know why you would trip without music anyway but whatever) so you have an excuse to not talk to anybody. Conversing with somebody on a dose of acid can be a pretty quick way to tell everybody you're under the influence of something.

I saw the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam on mushrooms.
It was very good, but I didn't like being out in society while tripping much.
I recommend a small dose - like 1/4 or 1/2 of a hit - if you want to go out to a museum.
It will allow you to focus on the art while maintaining a facade of reasonable sobriety.
If you are too tripped out, you may not care much for looking at art, preferring to examine your own inner workings. Or, you might decide that the tiles in the bathrooms are just as good as the art in the exhibition!

How'd it go? Would like to here if you did it and/ or ended up in jail lmao jk. But seriously public triPping is a good way to learn how to handle and work with ones mind.

I once ate mushrooms and went to a MC Escher exhibit at some museum in Orlando FL....

Me and two friends went and did it in the middle of a psychedelic binge that lasted the whole weekend and included LSD, MDMA, Mushrooms, lots of nitrous, and some "mushroom chocolates" that HAD TO HAVE BEEN some strange RC, because that shit was DEFINITELY NOT PSILOCYBIN.

When we got to the museum, my friend went to the bathroom and threw up and when he came out I was telling him that we could go and his response was "no, this is awesome"

there was this huge skylight with a big blown glass sculpture, glistening in the sunglight. It was beautiful.

then after the Escher stuff, there also was a Mayan Jewelery exhibit that was really awesome to see.

We ended up spending way too much money in the giftshop buying "Rainbow Makers" and posters, and I got some fractal cup coasters lol

All in all, its an excellent idea, go with a friend or a few friends, but only very mature ones that can have fun without being loud.

also, it makes sense to go REALLY EARLY durring the week if the museum is open then, as there will be less people and you can really enjoy it much more.

Just dont do it if there is any posibility that you will freak out....

because that would just suck.

If one is confident or a of a certain personality type then one can reap the benefits of public tripping.

There is actually a term called "museum dose" coined by Alexander Shulgin meant to refer to a dose level of the substance one would be comfortable under the influence of whilst in public or for example at a movie theater or a museum or concert.

not a visionary dose by any means but enough of a dose to be having an experience in ones mind enhancing the media they are taking in.

a gram of mushrooms, a tab of LSD, perhaps 10 mg of 4-AcO-DMT or 10 mg of 2c-I would be in this dose range for myself. A small amount enough to notice but not enough for THEM to notice.
