I recently picked up some cubensis and have been eating them every day for about 3 days, ive been averaging about 2-4 grams per day.

the first night was pretty intense, but it seemed to me the last two days I have not been tripping anywhere near as hard as before, i was always told

that you do not build a tolerance to psilocybin, but should i maybe give it a few days maybe even weeks?

(ive experimented with a lot of drugs, but the only thing i use regularly is marijuana)

Tolerance to hallucinogens like LSD and Psilocybe mushrooms builds very quickly. I'm afraid you've been misled.

Usually the rule of thumb is space your trips out every 2 weeks. Don't trip every day or, as you've noticed, by about day 3 your trips won't be anywhere near as magical. The tolerance is only temporary, it will reverse pretty rapidly with time.

Hallucinogens are not drugs to be used every day.

They probably mean long term tolerance, which is indeed not as permanent and ferocious as with a lot of other types of drugs.

I don't think you will see someone take a quadruple dose of mushrooms to combat chronic tolerance any time soon I'd expect.

The more often you trip, the more likely you are to ruin the magic / novelty on longer term. I believe there is a relation to be built with these drugs, not like a personal one but one related to yourself.
If you treat yourself right an allow plenty of time in between trips to both integrate the experiences and make them meaningful by what you do in between the trips... it tends to feel much more worthwhile. It's just impossible to keep having meaningful experiences that frequently unless they are fundamentally different to begin with.

Sekio said it well, the 2 week rule is fine (1 week is pushing it but doing that incidentally can work), unless you are really new to a drug by the second day it can already be disappointing. Increasing doses is unpredictable and forcing something that begs for another solution IMO.

Would you like input from others or are you done with the thread, Immheer?
