I was just prescribed Amitriptyline by my doctor for neuropathic pain, I've been smoking meth since last night, how long should I wait after my last toke to start the course of tricyclics.

Meth's half life is 9-15 hours, so to be safe don't take them until 15+ hours after your last toke.

^ Even longer, since even after 15 hours, you'll still have half as much meth in your system as when you stopped. I would wait at least 3 days after you've stopped. Given both methamphetamine and tricyclic's effect on norepinephrine, you'd be risking severe cardiovascular problems otherwise.

Yeah I did some more reading and figured 48 hours, but I might go with 3 days just to be safe. I had my last smoke around 4pm sunday, so I'll wait till weds night to start the course.

Also, I'm fairly sure this isn't the case, but are there any other recreational drugs I should avoid? Aside from the obvious (meth/coke/MDMA/and I'm assuming 4mmc and all similar stimulants RC's).

Would that include psychadelics? I'm more curious than anything, since I haven't dropped acid in a long time, but they act on the serotonin receptors don't they?

Psychadelics often act on 5-ht2a so yes, they're serotonergic. The only psychadelics that will still be safe are dissociatives.

Was prescribed Endep and Paxtine and Rivotril at same time as being a meth addict. Wasn't on
Endep for long ( but everyday) but I seemed fine. I'm certainly not saying fuck it don't worry you'll be right, this was just my experience with amitryptiline and meth.
