Trick for maximising MDMA absorption?

OK, I read this twice, and maybe I'm just missing something - to get the effects, do I need to be taking the actual Urals, or would I get the same effects from just taking sodium bicarbonate?
With regard to increased risk of neurotoxicity, would anyone care to speculate whether following this procedure (and only taking one pill) would be less or more harmful than taking two pills? (I bet there's no easy answer to *that* question).

Simon: it's the sodium bicarbonate in the Urals that is the alkaliniser. So, you could take any old sodium bicarb, if you know the right amount (see sodium bicarbonate). Ural probably tastes a lot better. :)
As for the neurotoxicity thing, you're right - there's no easy answer there.
Here's a thread from the E discussion archive: Urals' make your drugs last 50% longer, but disregard the explanation of this process in the first post, as it is incorrect. Also, I am not aware of this same effect on cocaine (but I could be wrong) so I am a bit sceptical of his claims about cocaine and Ural. I think the fact he was drunk was the contributing factor to his improved cocaine experience.
I have tried this, and frankly I don't think it made a lot, if any, difference. It certainly didn't make a 50% difference, as claimed in that link above. I am not clear on how many packs of Ural Dr. Beat used however.
 
I tried it a fortnight ago with some pink safe sex.
I'd have to say I did notice a difference and the pills lasted around 30-40% longer. I was certainly peaking for a lot longer. However, I would have to say my head was a lot more messy and I felt very battered. Friends who tried it also said they felt it had resulted in a longer peak.
I'm going to try it again this weekend with some different pills and get a bit more info.
 
god ural taste like crap! but honstly i reckoned it lengthend my roll, about 30% i guess! does it work with speed based pills as well?

haha :) i have ural because i actually need it occasionally.. never really thought to take it to extend my rolls, but perhaps to cut that bit of nausea i get after i drop..
guess i'll have to try it..
how long approx. before you drop should you take it? when i take it for urinary pain it takes effect straight away..
