Hey guys do any of you find trazadone recreational? I have about 2 or 3 hundred of them just laying around. Personally i find them horrible. But i was just wondering other peoples opinions on the drug

Trazodone has no recreational potential.

As an antidepressant, it seems to have none of the usual bad side-effects on the sex-drive. This is exceptional for an antidepressant.

Knowing how some people are on these boards I feel like I'm asking to get flamed for this but hey what are you gonna do. Trazadone is great for getting you to sleep, but even these effects come with a nasty morning after effect reminiscent of a hangover or in my case, a panic attack. So I avoid trazadone even for sleep. I've never experienced it or tried using it as an antidepressant so can't really comment, I guess that really wouldn't be recreational either so whatever.

Trazadone is not recreational. Frankly I'm surprised it isn't OTC

was on it for chronic insomnia for a short while
I thought it helped a bit but wasn't worth it enough to pursuing to refill the Rx so when it was gone i just stopped taking it

I never had any ill effects form it (hang over, anxiety etc..)
so in that sense, yeah it was great but not a recreational drug.

keep em on hand in case you are having trouble sleeping for an extended period.
dunno why you'd need a few hundred fo them however.

i am perscribed trazadone...dont take it bc i hate the way it makes me feel...so in my opinion it has abs. no recreational value.

im rx'd trazadone as well for insomnia. i take it almost every night and it helps me sleep so well. in larger doses it is a anti-depressant, but i have not noticed any of those effects in the lower dose i take. it does have some bad side effects. 1. if you dont try to go to bed within an hour of taking trazadone, you start to feel kinda shitty and have a headache type side effect. 2. horrible dry mouth when i wake up. 3. somewhat of a hangover type feeling the morning after, but nothing too bad. i just drink a cup of coffee and im ready to go.
i was on ambien, but i think the trazadone works a million times better than ambien. it puts me to sleep any time i cant sleep.

I found ambien to not help me with the insomnia
Trazadone worked the best out of anything I was rx'd but still wasn't too great.
My mind/body just has some aversion to hypnotics, they simply don't work well

Only time I tried trazodone (or at least that is what I recall being given) was when I was sick and trying to get some sleep. I felt sick and went over to the toilet to possibly puke, but I like fainted and smacked my arms and head against the toilet... It seemed to make getting up not an option and I can't imagine it being recreational.

Although I really don't know for sure if this was trazodone...
