Anyone here play this? I've just finished on server 3, our alliance came 7th (no, that's not that good) and personally I rose to 16th in the individual pop ratings (which was excellent considering I started 10 weeks late).

Anyhoooo....what a ridiculous, time-consuming and absolutely addictive game. Far worse than heroin. Basically it took over a large part of my life for 12 months. Yes, 12 months, thats how long it went on.

I guess I'm asking because the game was definitely full of weed smokers, just wondered if any of them were here.

And btw, I'm not into gaming, never done anything like this in my life, g/f dragged me into it.

Anyone?
 
Never heard of it, but if its as mindlessly addictive as you say it is im in!

My friends play it, but I prefer Cyber Nations

Both sort of text based nation management games with wars and trades. And CN has a lot more politics in it and is never reset :)

War, empire building, real-time (which makes it very slow at the start), alliance-based. You build villages up and knock other peoples down. Once I got to about 6 villages I thought it was getting hard work. Little did I know. I ended up with 38 villages and a load of responsibility building the world wonder (which is the point of the endgame). I've never seen a game take over so many peoples lives for so long.

It is an absolutely brilliantly worked out game, everything is mathematical based and works like clockwork. You can play for free, though you can also buy gold to help you along. The owners, Germans I believe, must be making a well-deserved fortune.

Are you really sure about that? ;) I'm not really recommending it to anyone because it takes over your life...but it is a very impressive addiction.

Do you play CN? What alliance are you in?

I've played both (Travian and CN) and Travian is waaaay more time-consuming. But CN is much more fun, and it can be as time-consuming as you want. It can be a 10 minutes a day game, or, if you really get into the alliance leading thing, can take hours a day.

I'm in FOK. I was hoping something along Q vs BLEU but i don't see that happening anytime soon now NpO has changed emperor.
 
My nation is only 64 days old, so my grasp on all the going ons in Planet Bob are limited.

I know about the new emperor, but I have absolutely no idea why war is or was actually imminent - i.e what kicked it off?

Yeh, I just signed up for the start of server 4 on the UK server of Travian, normally play speed so this is very different. If you sign up for S4 go SE and let me know your user ID. I was in top 50 on speed server so should be able to do some damage in this slow server.

Whats this website for CN? sounds interesting
 
according to wiki, one can play this on their mobile phone.... hmmmmmm
