So with international travel, with a doctors letter and your script unopened/packed in your carry on what sort of hassle will you get from customs agents? Will they question you in front of everyone at the security line? Does it flag you as a potential junkie/trafficker? Do you get searched, hassled, questioned.

When travelling to Europe do they care? What about Philippines or Thailand?

Does buprenorphine come up on the ION scanners

I'd love to know people's stories.

I have no experience travelling with bupe or opioids in general but I have traveled with prescribed benzo's (diazepam) and a doctors note without any trouble.

My experience is mostly limited to Europe but I did pass through Malaysia both ways, although my luggage was not checked (to my knowledge).

well i'm pissed off. I've been told to move to methadone if i want to travel. I don't undersatnd what i've done wrong.

Funny you say that, I was told to go back on methadone from suboxone if I wanted to visit family and that is just flying from NZ to OZ lol, but that was a while back now - I was told it has something to do with methadone being easily accessible in whatever country besides Russia (to my knowledge) and also whether the subs are govt subsidized or not (they're subsidized/free in NZ) Best of luck.
