travelling to peru soon, need advice

Hi everyone, I am new to this site. I am going to be in Peru in November, and I would like to party. I am spending time in Lima, Cusco, and possibly La Paz if I have time. I was really curious as to how dangerous it is to grab some Yay in Lima. Just for personal use while visiting. I really appreciate any input from individuals who have been there before and know the ropes. Thanks

Not Peru but it was all fine in brazil. Don't get caught lol. And make sure you have enough cash to pay a "fine" on the spot just in case. That should take care of it.

I have freinds from peru who have told me about this. Be extremely careful, you can not walk round in neighborhoods freely, you WILL be robbed. But some networking maybe with taxi drivers and people around party spots would be better help. It can be found easily and very pure, but like i said dont go wandering or 90% chance you get robbed , probably by groups of litle kids.

yeah i've heard about the kid gangs. Thats nuts. I will only be in Lima for two days roughly. Going to see the city on the mountain, just hope i'm able to get a rockin buzz on while doing it.

I think you'll have better luck in Cuzco than Lima. I assume by city on the mountain you mean Macchu Picchu. Cuzco is the closest city. Try the bars / nightclubs at night and spark up a conversation with a white person who looks the part. You will probably be approached by someone at some point. Weed and coke are everywhere and cheap. If you stay where the tourists are your chances of getting robbed are less. You can try taxi drivers but sometimes they do turn people in, as the police sometimes pay them to do so. Always have bribe money handy!! not sure if you like psychedelics but mescaline-containg cacti and ayahuasca are pretty easy to come by.
