The grey morning skyline,
An ocean of high rise buildings,
A flock of birds flies overhead,
But I do not share there song,
I do not share there freedom,
I choke on the smog
I’m just looking from the outside,
Through the window pane,
At a world that feels alien,
Of machines, cruelty, ignorance;
Where is the meaning in such worthlessness?
