Transitioning from 6 to 2 hydrocodones per day

For the last 2.5 years I have been taking 6 daily hydrocodones 7.5/5

I have 180 pills left...usually enough for 1 month. I want to reduce my intake to 2 day.

I think I have dealt with the shit I was dealing with...but I do find 2 pills to start out the day feels good. Problem is that 2 leads to one more, one more,...and they don't seem to be doing anything for me anymore.

What would you suggest?

What about if I just stopped and went cold turkey...what would it be to be around me?

Thanks

if you normaally start the dy with 2, try starting your day with one....and try starting later and later each day....

then do your second one as late as possible too.

wil be hard, but you need a bit of wilpower with these things.

You won't "just stop and go cold turkey" while you've got 180 hanging around....

just try and reduce your dose, and work at increasing the intervals between doses.

You mention your hydrocodones are 7.5/5. Do you mean 7.5/500s? (7.5mg hydrocodone/500mg APAP) or you are using both 7.5mg and 5mg hydrocodones?

A bit of clarification will help us answer your question better. :)

Its a simple drop. And you have 180 pills to taper to 2 pills a day. The EASIEST way to do it is:
Day 0-10: 5 Pills
Day 10-20: 4 Pills
Day 20-30: 3 Pills
Day 30 start two pills a day!

And you should still have around 50-60 to play around with. You could extend each taper to 14 days if you really wanted to.
This would be the most painless way of doing it, if you are not pushed for time.

^Yea fer real that sounds like what i would do if i was in your position and since you have 180 pills you could even dose longer than 10 days when you get to lower amounts so your not dropping too quickly to an uncomfortable dose. This will allow your body to adjust better before you drop your dose again.
