transition from methadone to suboxone

I am currently on 30mg of methadone daily, down from 60mg, I will be transitioning to suboxon which is all new to me and was wondering if anyone has any idea what I can expect. I will be taking my last 30mg dose on Friday and starting the suboxon the following Monday.

iv read u need to stop takin the methadone , let urself go into the start of withdrawels , then take the bupe

prety sure i read it on bluelight , or in the bupe or methadone handbooks or dvd they gave me wen i got on the program

Yep. You do have to go off methadone first and be in withdrawal. Good plan stopping the 'done Friday and starting the suboxone Monday...I have heard methadone withdrawals are some of the worst to go through, though. Good luck to you and hope the transition goes well for ya!

im thinking of maybe going from bupe to done' (for a few months) then back to bupe...... i feel like i need a full agonist now, feel like i may relapse....
