Opioids Trammadol + Anti-Deppresant ?

I've been taking lexapro for a long time now (10mg 1x daily) and my doctor has had me on trammadol. In the past I had one seizure, but I was also on two other anti-depressants. I'm just on the lexapro now and my doctor said I should be alright on that with the trammadol. I remember reading on here where a safe daily limit of trammadol was, but that was a long time ago. Does anyone know the mg limit for this kind of mixture? e.e;;

I'm not sure about the limit for a "mixture"...but the reported safe daily limit for tramadol is 400mg.

I have read several posts on BL where doctors prescribe an anti depressant along with tramadol. From what I understand, as long as you stay witin the prescribed range you should be alright, i.e. 1 every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Staying within that range your chances stay low. Then again since you have already suffered one seizure your chances of another increase somewhat. Ideally your doctor would prescribe you a benzodiazapine drug, such as Valium, to decrease your chances of a seizure.

i've had a seizure from tramadol in the past as well..(500mg)

lexepro and tramadol both lower the seizure threshold..i personally wouldn't mix them, but if you do I def. wouldn't take more then 100mg of the ultram at a time

Honestly, don't freak yourself out. It is your drs job to look out for you. No, they aren't perfect but when in doubt I would say trust them.
If something does happen, you have grounds for a lawsuit and good about of money. :D
