First post here, hope this forum part fits.

Anyway, I first went 50H with no tramadol before I caved in and took a small amount. Now its been exactly 72H since I last took any tramadol.

My question is, if I take a small dose tramadol now, will that "restart" the withdrawal procces or will it be easier the coming days after this dose compared to the days after my second last dose?

try to taper down if its that bad for you, and then jump off of a lower dose. what was your daily intake like before you quit?

I managed to get down to 25 mg every morning from 450mg. I also added benzo o the mix to be able to sleep on the low morning dosage, will deffo stop the benzo right away now, dont want 2 addictions at same time :)

in that case just power through it cold turkey, taking more is just going to draw things out

Yeah, I went cold turkey just last week. It was hell on the second day and I was throwing up, couldn't eat or sleep. I managed to get through it though and on the third day my stomach was somewhat upset and I still had a headache but this day wasn't as bad as the second. Now I'm six days off of tramadol and I feel great. Trust me I was taking 150 to 200 a day then 300 to 400 and then all the way up to 600 then 700 and even one time 800 mgs...I even seized. So cold turkey was crazy but it was worth it and in the end bareable. Yet, tapering is the best way to do it but once you taper down don't go back up. Good luck OP!

Thx for answer guys :)

But lets say I take 25mg now, will the 80H without any tramadol be for nothing and the withdrawal will restart? I guess not, I mean my body has to get used to lower dosages so just taking a small 25mg dose now I cant feel as worse tomorow as I did after my 25mg last time?

its more that if you do 25 now, your probably gonna do 25, or 50 again soon, and soon be back on full boar again. if your feeling pretty good now dont bother, youll wake up sweating if you do the 25

^This. You can taper out for as long as you need to to reduce the symptoms. Because of tramadol's unique method of action, it may take longer for withdrawal to occur, as you're going through both SNRI and opiate withdrawal at the same time....

You got down to 25 mg per day? That's like half a pill. I would say if you were comfortable on 25 mg/day then you should be ok from here on out. My experience when I w/d from very high levels of tramadol (500-600 mg/day for like a year), the w/d hit hard but was over fast. Like after a week I was ok and after 2 weeks I was perfectly fine. And that was a cold turkey.

You're going to be fine. Don't go back to taking ultram or, at the very least, take a few months away.

If you've tapered down to 25mg then you should be able to go off it from there. If you take another dose chances are that you will have to suffer the same withdrawals that you originally had to but they will be a little milder. Although its not worth it as you've already gone a good amount of time without it. Don't give into the cravings, you might find yourself using again.
