I used to use oxy but then was on bupe for a while and tapered....for pain i recently took ultram/tramadol 150mg ED - 300mg ED for roughly two weeks....my last dose was today, 150mg...I dont have anymore ultram, will I feel withdrawl from this and will it be bad? If it is i guess I can take some bupe but I dont want to have to being that I read the half life of bupe is 36 hours and tram is only 8....

sorry for the off-topic answer, but do tramadols actually get you HIGH? I have a few bottles at a friends house, and we took them before, only to throw up a few times and not get high.

How many MGs did you take to start out? sorry again for the offtopic answer.

well I had an opoid tollerance.....my ultrams are 50mg I usually take 3-4 at once....i know they make it with acitominophen with it, that might be why u got sick

Tramadol is hit or miss. Some people get blissful highs, others get nothing.

I've done Oxy for over 2 years and I can still pop a few Tramadol and catch a good buzz. It isn't remarkable or as powerful as Oxy, but it's definitely better than nothing.

Just gotta be careful with Tramadol. It has the potential to be extremely dangerous in a way that most Opiates aren't.

I've been on a standing prescription of 240 tramadols/month (as well as a few other meds) for chronic back/neck/hip/muscular/nerve pain since February lol. It doesn't give me any sort of buzz. Maybe the first couple of days I was a little drowsy, but nothing really "recreational." I'm pretty sure if I were to stop using them now I would go into a withdrawal, but for you since you were only on them for two weeks, I wouldn't expect you to have a withdrawal, but if so, not a very bad one. The bad thing about tramadol is that it not only acts on the opioid receptors but it also inhibits the re-uptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, leaving a chronic use susceptible to not only an opioid withdrawal, but an anti-depressant discontinuation syndrome, thus giving a tramadol withdrawal THE ABILITY/CHANCE to be worse and longer than most other opioid withdrawal; however, not everyone will experiences these withdrawals. A tramadol withdrawal for a long-term chronic user has the ability to have acute effects for up a week or longer and the minor effects for up to a month.

I think you're pretty safe though. I don't know exactly how much you were doing each day/your frequency of dosing, but you were only using it for 2 weeks. Hope this helps.

thanks doug...most i did in one day was 300mg ED...feeling some cold sweats today and tired..hopefully it doesnt get worse

You will certainly experience a 'transition.' While 2 weeks of 300mgs doses won't be enough to develop a full blown physical addiction, it may make you uncomfortable while your body re-adjusts to not having the tramadol.

It's easier than most people think to psyche yourself into a 'withdrawal' state of mind, especially if you used to be an addict.

Don't take bupenorephine, you won't be withdrawing in the sense of the word, more like an adjustment. Smoke some pot for a couple days and have coffee handy for lack of energy. You'll be okay, trust me.
