Tramadol starting dose?

I just got my hands on a bunch of tramadol and I'm wondering what sort of dose would be safe to start out with, recreationally. I would usually just take 200mg or so to start out but I've read a few scary things about seizures and the like and so I thought I should ask around first.

I have some experience with DHC and it takes like 150mg for me to feel anything on that, with 210mg being where things get euphoric. I think my tolerance is still fairly low. Tramadol is new to me though. Scary synthetic drug. Any advice beyond just the dosage is also welcome.
 
start with 100mg, and then wait to see how you feel....

then if you need, dose another 100mg.......

400mg is the seizure threshold....
 
Done 100mg so far. It's been 15 minutes and I'm not feeling anything really. I think I'll give it an hour.

So, is there no chance of a seizure at anything below 400mg? I have no family history of seizures or anything. Not sure if this is important.
 
there is still a chance....... id keep it under 300mg today for SURE......
 
I'm starting to feel something but not really any opiate-like effect. Gonna take another 100mg and see how it goes.

I won't go any higher tonight.
 
If you have had a seizure before, DO NOT TAKE IT!

If you have no history, I would say stay at 50mg to 100mg and if that isn't enough you can always take more.
 
It went okay. Not nearly as strong as opiates I've taken before. I think I'm feeling more of an antidepressant effect than anything else.

I might try a higher dose eventually. I'm not sure I want to play around with this stuff though.
 
Take whatever (200-400) dose you like ,but dont forget to drop a little benzos.Maybe 5 or 10millies of Diazepam will do the work,just in case.
 
Do NOT mix benzodiazepins with tramadol! Especially if it is the first time. I took 500mg of Tramadol with no tolerance, but to feel the effects, 250 is enough.
 
a LOW dose of benzos can reduce the risk of seizures however it just adds another chemical and other effects to the mix. Personally I think you would be ok with a low dose of benzos. But everyone responds to medications differently.
Oh and FYI, Not everyone can get high off tram.... its about having the right enzymes to process it.
 
I have used Tramadol a few times recreationally. The only thing I can say is do not even mess around with it..... most messed up confusing chemical I have ever come across.
 
^I will second that one. I was on it for YEARS and it got UGLY and messed up.
But you can tell someone not to do it, doesn't mean it does any good.
Better just to tell them the safest way possible if they decide to.

Oh yeah, and it is NOTORIOUS for making you nauseous. I found ginger tea helped.
 
Im actually precribed to trams and I have a high tolerance but my boyfriend just reciently tried them and I gave him 5 50mg's to start he got pretty wired and cleaned our whole house>> they say not to go over 8 in a day 400mgs but i've went to about 15 nin my bad days but usually I keep it under ten< to start I'd take 4 or 5 this also depends on your weight class and tolerance but after a fewtimes i'd recommend 6 or 7 tops just to be safe
