tramadol / soma combo

I am new here and have been looking around...I usually take Lortab and soma everyday for a severe neck injury..I have a high tolerance. Not like what you see on the show INTERVENTION where people take so much they drool and pass out. I just like no pain and a cruise type buzz all day..I know tramadol will cause a seizure only if you have a seizure history...My question is I have 100 tramadol and around 100 somas...Im out of my Lortab till next week....Whats a good dose of trams and soma for that cruise buzz...I gotta work so i dont like drooling..know what i mean..?...:)
 
Before my tolerance went up, I found 100mg IR would improve my mood and give me a subtle buzz, I used to like having it before I went to work to speed the day up a little bit. So I would start from there and increase the dose if you feel you need to. Do be wary of the risk of seizures, even if you don't have a history of them, the risk still increases so it may be unlikely you'll have one but it may still be possible with high doses.
 
i get no buzz from tramadol (ive done up to 500mg, 400mg is the highest recommended to not risk seizures).. but anyway, tramadol is a somewhat "stimulating" opiate, def not a "noddy" opiate, it will keep your withdrawls at bay, but it depends either you'll love it (some swear by it) or you'll get nothing from it...
try 200mg and see how u feel
 
you mean 200mg at once? Mine are 50mg i have taken 2 with 2 soma and it gets ya goin...i might try 4 and 2..woooo oh i chew mine and they are nasty..does any one else chew theres?..Im going to be like lil wayne and get my doc to give me a half callon of hydro syrup and mix it with Hawaiian Punch...Thats what he does all day..lol
 
People can have seizures on tramadol without having a history of them. Too much norepinephrine related stimulation and BAM! You're shaking on the floor like you're doing the electric boogie.
 
Yea..I just read that as long as yu stay under 400mg per dose you should be fine...right?

Yes, that's the recommended limit and I've seen/heard of people going much higher then that, but with some sort of tolerance. And it's 400mg a day, not per dose I thought.
 
well im only doing 150mg...i aint riskin it..lol...150mg is strong anyway..head buzz..lol what about the chewing thing?
 
^ What about it? If they are XR then it will make a difference, if not then it won't really matter. If the chewing is too disgusting you could always crush them up and parachute them. :D
 
They do work for withdrawal 100% I haven't had a Lortab in 3 days only tram...and i take around 6 or 7 tabs a day ..tramadol DEFINITELY STOPS LORTAB WITHDRAWAL FOR SURE.....
 
I find the more times I take it, the less stimulating it is and the higher the chance of me nodding is. But my dose is also increasing so maybe that has something to do with it? My single dose is now 600mg IR which I know is a little bit silly, especially seeing as I don't even enjoy it that much any more, I used to get a wicked body buzz from it, now I just get itchy :(
 
I hope it's ok to bring this thread back to life, haven't seen any more recent threads on the topic...

Anyway, this combination has worked out really nicely for me. It really seemed to negate the normal sleeping issues that come along with a high tram dose. I get the best effect by re-dosing the tram throughout the day and 350-700mg soma at night.

What dosages work best for you all?
 
Its really hard to say. I would say test out a dose before you go just to see where you tolerance is. I would tentatively say start at 200 - 300mg Tram. You should be alright.
Yes it is possible to over do it. Try to stay under the 400mg Tram seizure dose. And Yes you can black out on Soma alone. Done it. And under NO circumstances take 1 gram of Tramadol. I have done that a few times and ended up paying dearly for it EVERY time.
 
i've been on this bandwagon ever since the last days i was in mexico, where one can do this very very cheaply and easily. 250-350mg of tram is pleasurable enough, although sort of a pricktease. i never knew about the risk of siezures, thanks for filling me in. And i tend to eat a lot of the carisoprodol, like at least 400mg. last night i think i ate around 1,000mg plus the six 50mg tram, and it's 12 hours later and i'm still a little out of it. wish i had more codiene to mix in there.
anyways one thing is that i've noticed that both the tram takes FOREVER to start working, anyone else notice this? the addition of the carisoprodol doesn't really affect the opioid euphoria either, it just feels okay and helps me sleep/relax (along with dipenhydramine and valerian root).
 
tramadol works well when you re-dose rather than taking it all at once. also soma doesn't last very long (maybe 1.5hrs tops). so i like to take 100mg tram + 350mg soma, then wait 3hrs and redose with 50mg tram + 350mg soma, etc. make sure to keep track of your daily totals so you don't overdo it. maybe set out your daily limit ahead of time in one container so you don't forget (easy to lose track on this combo :) )
 
^Nope it will make it higher. I researched soma when it was scripted to me and it can actually lower or higher it. It depends on the person. However on the list of side effects I got from the pharmacy and numerous internet sources Soma can actually cause seizures.
