They were one of the first opiates I tried and I mildly enjoyed them.. I think as much as anything it's not having experienced better opes that gives them any value

^ They go OK with better opioids though I found out. On it's own though, I haven't had great experiences with tramadol.

I found they worked great for anxiety, definitely not as much euphoia as other opiates. There is a risk of seizure if you take too much (700mg orally according to wikipedia) so be mindful of that.

i seriously doubt 50mg tramadol would be felt at all no matter what your tolerance is

it's not recommended to exceed 400mg within a 24 hour period, not 700mg. the wiki article refers to individuals having seizures on doses exceeding 700mg. i've read anecdotal reports of people having seizures with doses between 50-150mg.

also the 50mg capsules should be instant release, not extended. the 100mg+ tabs are all xr. i've never found much of a difference (negligible) for the time of onset when crushing XR's vs IR's either but ymmv.

AMH lists one 50mg SR (other than that yes; most 50mg are IR and all the other 12hr XRs and all 24hr XRs are 100mg+):

^ ah, cheers. i wasn't 100% sure (hence the should) did a cursory google to double check and didn't come across anything on the first page.

there's some overseas generics i've seen advertising 75mg XR's as well. a year or so back, probably more like 2, i was kinda blown away by the fact that there's a 400mg XR formula available.

durotram, so they're the 24hr XR's. i saw them listed in some brochure i was browsing in a chemist while in brisbane just recently; they might be worth bringing up with my because i'm still trying to stick to once daily dosing for my PM at the moment and on the odd day will feel withdrawal effects come on 24hrs after dosing. i'd prefer to be off it altogether after 8 years and on bupe (not norspan, allergic reactions) again or a full agonist again instead of the tram/oxy combo.
