Hey guys, I have one pill that is tramadol that says "APO" on one side and "37.5 - 32.5" on the other, my mom gave me a few for a bad headache and I've seen it a feel times on here so I wanna know that effects from snorting. I've never really heard of this being snorted nevermind never really hearing about the drug.

I don't know much about it, tried googling didn't really give me any answers, but I guess that's what you guys are for. I don't know much about this drug.

Thank you for the help!

i wouldn't snort it, really. i myself have a box laying around. it's a relatively weak opiate, maybe a little stronger than codeine, but its longer lasting and more recreational in my opinion. they give you the opiate body-high with some mental stimulation and a general feeling of mellowness.

try a pillfinder on google, it should tell you the strength and all. for a starter dose i'd take 75 mg (and that's kind of weak for me but i weigh 201)

We don't id pills here.

Tramadol isn't for snorting. Don't know anyone who does this. I thoroughly enjoy tramadol (I enjoyed it to in fact). I agree with lopez, as it's always good advice to start small. I'd start at 100mg though... My chosen dose is 300-400mg. Don't take more than 400mg in one dose or you risk seizure. Also, do not combine with SSRIs, or DXM, etc. etc. or your risk serotonin syndrome. Actually, I can't remember where I heard that, but it's a bad combo for sure. And I know of people who've combined an SSRI with lower therapeutic doses of tramadol for months if not years, but eventually they did end up having issues with the two.

When I first started using Tramadol, 200mg was awesome with a coffee. Some people love tramadol, others hate it. You'll have to see for yourself.

P.s. plugging tramadol is significantly more enjoyable than eating it, although eating works well enough for me.

I had a seizure on tramadol, but there were other contributing factors as well. I too advise against snorting. Tramadol is one of those synth opioids that reacts differently with so many people. Some get nothing out of it, whereas others compare it to taking a 7.5 percocet (this is my experience).

I always chose to just take it orally, as I do with all of my opiates. I enjoy that waiting period and the slow onset of warmth way more than being hit hard.

Enjoy!

Yea, imo it's amazing how hard it can hit, especially with another mild opioid such as suboxone and potentiators in my system... Awesome euphoria. I'm happy it effects me so well, because I find it much easier to control my use than with any normal real full agonist opioid.

P.s. Is that a fox as your avatar? LOVE it! So fucking cute XD

I wasn't asking for an ID on the pill, I already knew what it was, I was asking about the risks from snorting it, since this forum is about harm reduction I would assume that this would be the place to ask it.

Hey everyone, thanks for the reply, I don't take any opiates orally ( I don't enjoy them as much) or else I would try this method, I think I'll just see how it goes

certainly. risks of snorting, if you're just gonna snort one pill, are very serious. minor irritation probably. long term snorting could lead to a deviated septum. as previously mentioned though, oral or rectal use is much much more effective than snorting.

So are you addicted to snorting things? Certainly many people are out there who are so inclined...

But seriously, feel free to try, but tramadol isn't like most other opioids. In fact, as you probably already know it isn't an opioid, but quasi-opioid. It's intranasal BA is real low... You'll possibly get high from the drip tho...

I'm not addicted to anything, I just prefer when I do drugs to snort it. Some people take drugs orally, some shoot it up, others snort it. One method isn't better then any other.
and I already know any physical damage that can happen through snorting. I personally will not plug a drug and I already mentioned I don't enjoy orally.
And no I was not aware of it, like I've previous mentioned I have tried googling it but it hasn't been much use, I was looking for information from people who are more experienced users then me, I was just seeing if it was worth my time to snort it.
Thanks everyone for their time and advice.

It is yes, haha.

When you said "one method isn't better than the other" in terms of ROAs, that's not true at all. Especially when it comes to opiates.

For example, Oxycodone for best results is taken orally as it has a very high bioavailability. Oxymorphone on the other hand, only is 10% BA orally, which is why other ROA's make more sense when dealing with certain drugs. ROA matters, alot.

Im no fan of tramadol, I find it weak and ineffective, but definitely give your nose a break and pop that shitty opioid orally like you're supposed to.

such a little thing to comment on, I was just saying that people prefer different things and just because you may take drugs orally doesn't mean you're better then those who snort them. And I already took one orally (hence the asking about snorting) and it didn't do anythinog.
Wow, I thought people on this forum were helpful and nice not a bunch of drug snobs.
makes you think eh hmmm

Makes me think what?

I didn't say that one is a better person for using drugs more efficiently, I wouldn't say that everyone who IV's drugs (highest BA) are "better".

However, I would consider myself to be better than people who would snort compounded opiates like percocet.

And really? such a little thing to comment on? it was a pretty big flaw I noticed, that's why I mentioned it.

If orally isn't working for you, maybe you just need to adjust your dose, not your ROA. That's my 2 cents.

chill people, chill. we're all just trying to give each other advice, to enlighten others and be enlightened by others, in regards to all things, big AND small.

How much did you take OP? How're you feel'n?

IME rectal is the highest BA other than IV, although I've NEVER heard of anyone IVing tramadol, if it's even possible (as in not life threatening) to begin with.

Let's all play nice fair ladies and genial gentlemen :)

Okay well this has obviously blown out of proportion.

Where I'm from snorting perks isn't uncommon, I picked it up from a few friends years ago and just started doing it again recently. I've tried taking them orally and didn't enjoy them. I also don't like pills that are higher like oxy or anything else. I don't know much about opiates, which is why I joined this forum. I do two or three perks maybe once every two to three weeks. I'm not doing drugs on a regular basis. Last night I was doing my thing and I remembered my mom gave me some tramadol. I don't know anything about it. I took one orally awhile ago and it didn't do anything. So I came to this forum last night to see if it was worth snorting.

I was under the impression that this was a place to ask because obviously people were more experienced and knowledgeable about drugs then I am. I don't spend a whole lot of money on drugs and am not interested. I'm not going to hunt down more just to higher my dosage for a better effect orally, if it's not worth it for me to snort, I'll just put it in my advil bottle and save it for a headache.

And Honestly, there's no reason to be a snob when it comes to drugs. They are drugs, your not any better for taking them however way you want then me, we are both doing some illegal and perceived as bad by society. If you help yourself fall asleep at night by saying your better then other for taking drugs i feel sorry for you.

It's unfortunate because I thought this would be the place for me to ask questions about drugs and could get an answer, instead of just trying it out and seeing what happens. I don't know much about this BA thing and I don't know what ROA even stands for. I just had a question and this seemed like the place to ask it.

Thanks everyone for their time.

BA = Bioavailability - how much of the drug gets into your system; higher the BA, the higher you're gonna get, the low the less high.
ROA = Route of Administration - the way you injest your drug/how it enters your body (IM=intramuscular; IV=intravenous; oral=by mouth; sublingually=under the tongue; transdermal=through the skin; rectal=up the butt; inhale=through the lungs; etc. etc.)

Please stick around OP. Tricomb didn't mean to insult you, he was just trying to help. He's really a nice guy. If he came across as a dick, well, I'm sure he meant nothing such...

Please please, ask away? I like answering questions, at least those I can answer :)

And in terms of the flaming/bickering, well, I know for a fact you are both above this. It's not a big deal, I mean, this is only BL after all. It brakes my heart whenever I see people going after each other istead of just letting things be and move on to more productive/constructive topis of conversation. Not saying you two bad or anything like that, just that you do yourself a disservice by not letting such comments go, taking them personally, etc. etc. You're better than that OP.

I really wasn't insulting you, you should read my post again. If you don't even know what the majority of my post means, don't jump to the conclusion that I'm insulting you. I DO have something against people snorting opiates with tylenol in it, as I'm sure the high is a placebo.

But to each his own. Read up about BA and ROA, toothpastedog gave a good brief explanation of the two. After reading this I'm sure you'll find I wasn't insulting you, just trying to help you efficiently use your medication.

this IS a forum for you to ask your drug related questions, don't get bent out of shape when you get answers.
you said you came here to ask about snorting, I answered your question and because it wasn't the answer you wanted, you got pissed. I'm sorry, snorting percocet or tramadol is retarded, and if believing this makes me a snob, so be it.

Yea, I tend to agree with tricomb. I don't like to encourage people to snort pills with APAP in them, just because it does a lot of harm to your nose/sinuses, and generally the oral BA is high enough so that snorting isn't all that much more effective, if at all.

Then again, I did have a friend who liked to snort percs. Personally never understood that, cause I'd have to eat a minimum of 4 to get high, and even my buddy wouldn't be down to snort four of those. way too much shit for one's nose to take.

At least with these tramadol pills, if I remember the coding right, do not contain any APAP/tylenol... and they're not to big of a pill, so they'ed be easier on your nose. is that correct? about only containing tramadol as the active ingredient?

but hey, if it works for you, it works for you. everyone's different. beautiful in their own way ;) :p

ummmmm I was gonna say something else but forgot...

OH yea! OP (opening poster = in this case you, level19sucks), did you end up snorting them? If so, how'd it work out?

[*hugs* all around]
