Tramadol Question?

Hey, I took 250mg of Tramadol last night at 10:30 EST, and it worked great. I threw up a bit at about 11:30, but after that I was fine. I went to bed still high, and I woke up about two hours ago, still high! Why am I still high from this if I took it last night? I'm obviously not peaking or anything but I'm definitely still high. I have very little, if any opiate tolerance by the way.

Oh, and is there anything I can do to reduce the nausea? It comes in waves and it's getting really annoying. I tried eating some frozen waffles and drank some water, but it didn't help.

An active metabolite of tramadol has a half-life of about 9 hours, so this is not surprising.

Its been years since I took tramadol last time, but I experienced being a bit out of it the next day, too...

Polymath pretty much nailed it. Tramadol itself has a halflife of about 6 hours, and then its main metablite (O-Destramadol) about 9 hours.

Tramadol, and the good metabolite o-desymethyltramadol do have long half-lives, and last quite a long time. I'd recommend 100 mg for someone with no opi tolerance, and you took 250 mg, so I don't doubt the amount still in your system is getting you high. For the nausea, lie down, best thing you can do, really.
