tramadol question

First to introduce myself, im 19 years old and i smoke a lot of weed(everyday for about 3 years). I've tripped shrooms and acid about 12 times combined, the majority being shrooms. I use to drink a decent amount but only drink once in a while now. Lately ive been curious about opiates and wanted to try some, i have never been high on pills in my life, ive taken vicodin about 3 times each time ranging from 20-30 mg and never once felt any different. About a week ago i took 3 50 mg tramadols and smoked right after and continued to smoke for about an hour and a half and i did feel a little relaxed but the weed overpowered anything the pills might have done, about 2 hours ago i took 4 50 mg or 200 mg total of tramadol, i chewed and swallowed 2 and swallowed the other 2 whole directly after then ate a big mac and some fries, and once again ive felt nothing. are tramados just pussy or what do you guys think?

Tramadol is the ultimate subjective opiate. One person will nod like crazy on it, while another person wont feel jack shit. to give it a fair chance, take on an empty stomach and dont overdo the weed again cause as you said, you may have overpowered any feeling from tramadol. depending on tolerance, choose your tramadol dose,but i would never recommend more than 200 mg at a time (max 400mg in 24 hours, but not all at once). also, are you taking any psych meds? it seems that alot of meds can prevent tramadol from converting to its much stronger metabolite on top of which SSRI's and the like can dramatically increase seizure risk and possible serotonin syndrome. start low and go slow...be safe.

Most people I know swear up & down that Trams give them a definite buzz; granted, most people also say the "buzz/high" from Trams definitely has some notable differences from the kind of "buzz/high" opiate pain killers give you, but nonetheless most people I know do find them to have some sort of recreational value.

In my personal experience though, they've never helped reduce any physical pain I've ever been in, & for the most no matter how many Trams I take I feel like I might as well be taking sugar pills... Only sugar pills might stand a chance at giving me some sort of "sugar rush", which is certainly more than I can say for Tramadol.

It seems like Tramadol is REALLY a "hit or miss" type thing. Some people find them very recreational, some people find them to have no recreational value at all, & most people's experience with them falls somewhere in between those two extremes.

One thing I know for sure though is that taking like 4 or more Trams at once just seems like a total waste. As a matter of fact, the two times I've actually felt like taking Tramadol may have helped me calm down a bit were times when I took 2 50mg pills. Usually when I took Trams [I used to get a shit ton for free, & they're hard to sell, which is why I kept taking them even though I felt they seemed pretty much useless] I'd take between like 6 & 8 50mg Trams within a 4 or so hour period... Sometimes if I took too much too quick I'd get slightly sick, but taking that much never gave me any sort of "buzz" at all. So I'd say if 100mg doesn't work for you, then chances are Trams aren't your thing, & thats that.
