For future reference please include your tolerance.

I find with tramadol to get the most out of it you will want the extended release or slowly take in your IR tabs.

If its the IR(50mg-no APAP) I would dose two(50mg) tabs at once. I would wait around a hour and then take another TWO 50mg tabs, and ride it out and see how you feel. Tramadol has a rather long affect range contrasted to other typical opiods/opiates usually in the order of 6-8 hours.

Typically the first hour or two I find you feel the SSRI/SNRI compent and then around 2-3 hour mark I start to notice the opiod effect. Ialso find the opiod effect to be not as intense as a full agonist/non prodrug(tramadol is a prodrug for M1-opiod as liver does its trick to tramadol), but rather a very plesant background good vibe extra skip in your step type feel.

I have found through a TON of research with tramadol(I get a never ending supply for free) that if I take a huge dose at once(250-400mg) I feel something but not very pleasent... maybe to much Anti-Depre effect from the tram at once.. but if I slow dose it over a hour or two I get that great feeling from the M1.

I have no proof if that does in fact cause ones expiernece to be better if you dose 100mg wait a hour take another 100mg and maybe a hour after that a 50mg. But I know through many, many, many, many days and tons of pills that I get better effects more enjoyable times from slow dosing or the ER formulas.

A few things in regard to tramadol. It has a slow but steady come up. I find it takes around 2-3 hours before the peak effects from M1 are felt and then this can last a good 5-8 hours after that. I think tramadols Half live is around 4-6hrs and M1 6-9hrs(not positive, though). So keep that in mind because to much tramadol in a day will/can causes seizures. You dont want to take a few pills and a hour later say I dont feel it and drop a few more... and then a seizure. I think the most you can consume in a 24hr period is 400mg. Also tramadol is famous for causing neaseau even for opiate/opiod tolerant persons, so keep that in mind. I would not combine tramadol with stimulants(just me), wellbutrin, strattera, Adderall, concerta, cocaine.

Some people really love tramadol, or hate it... Not to many people are on the fence about it. I really really enjoy tramadol because of how good it can make you feel without it being overpowering and also how long it lasts... not uncommon for it to last ALL day. Even after massive binges of full agonists with a high tolerance I can still get great times with tramadol starting as low as 100-150mg.

Just do yourself a favor...if you find your one of the few who really enjoy it... read a lot about the medicine for its potential side effects, what drugs are a no no while on tramadol, which drugs can help the seziure risk when taken in moderation, also how agonizing of withdrawals can be with this medicine.

Remember, at high doses tramadol can/will cause seizures, tramadol acts on seratonin, Norep, and Mu recp's. Tramadol effects and last a very long time almost all day, also it takes a few hours before you start to notice the opiod effects(If I take around 7am aruond 10amish is where I start to peak).

Be safe and have fun.

How should you take them? Orally.

Worried about seizures? Don't exceed 200mg/dose or 400mg/day

Next time ask basic dosing questions and the like in basic drug discussion.

Naa you wont have a seizure. I think tramadol just isnt worth it, just stick with oxy or hydro.

Okay good I'm definetly not doing these again I feel like complete garbage. Any idea how ling this will last

Up until how long after you take your last pill can u have a seizure? My buddy took a fee more than I did and he's not feeling to good. He took his last around 2am and it's now 7:15am

eurgh. i HATE tramadol. used to take it for pain, 150 mg SR - it didn't help much with the pain and it didn't even have the grace to make me feel good along with it!

I've been using tramadol for a long time, and I'm up to 100mg IR tabs.

If you're tram naive, I wouldn't take more than 150mg as a first time go-round. But that's me. I just remember starting on the small 30mg pills, taking 4-5 would get me spun right round, and damn close to yakkin' my guts out too. Now? I can take 600mg and function ok. Not that I recommend that to anyone.
Just remember.... tramadol w/ds are bad-daddy bad. No matter how much you like the high.... stay clear with habitual use of them. Once a go in a while though.... yeah ok.

As said, some hate it, and some love it. Definately not "on the fence" type drug.
I have been taking tramadol for the last 10 years, with the last 5 years being daily. As a result I have an amazing tolerance. I was up to 1500-1600 mg's daily, but have cut that in half over the past three months. Never a seizure, but always possible. And I have had better results with a two a day dose of 700-800 mg's, morning and late afternoon.

I have recently been put on Percocet 10/325 six times a day. This alone has really helped to reduce the amount of tramadol I need daily.

I take an SNRI. I was recently prescribed Tramadol and, within an hour of taking the prescribed dose, developed serotonin syndrome. It was extraordinarily frightening, even though my case was relatively mild.
