The duration of the onset and the come-up for Tramadol is ridiculously long. But then when that wave of opiate bliss finally hits it's fantastic - and it's just hit now...

I think it's under-rated as an opiate you can have fun with. The plateau is longer than any other opiate I've had before.

Recently lost my Dihydrocodeine contact which has pissed me off - by far my favourite of the moderate strength opiates

Does anyone else get a cold nose from using Tramadol?

The only thing I have to say about Tramadol, is beware of the withdrawals if you use it for a long time. They are worse than regular opiate withdrawal. I just went through it and it felt like I was dying. I was only on it for 2 months. But I do love my trams, it is a nice relaxed high :)

I was prescribed Ralivia 200mg ER , I would just chew them . They taste terrible tho . I have recently stopped taking them tho , withdrawls are pretty bad . I think it's worse then coming off opiates . I believe they affect serotonin as well, they seemed to give me a little energy. Be careful :) !!

Withdrawal? Really? I take these on and off for my arthritis, and for fun too! But I have never had withdrawals.

It's not really necessary to make a thread solely about how you like tramadol where your only question is do other people's noses get cold. BDD is a harm reduction forum for specific questions about drugs and I've already closed or moved a couple recent threads about how tramadol is the most underrated high or how much someone likes it - they aren't appropriate for BDD. Maybe the BDD social thread.

Here's one I recently sent to Drug Culture if you like to post there, I'd just merge your thread to that one but I am not able to since it's a different forum. I can get a senior mod to merge it if you want.
Tramadol/Ultram is the best high ever
Or you can post in the Overrated and underrated drugs thread in DC.

I'm going to close this but please PM me if you have any questions, or were really serious about the cold nose thing and want me to reopen this as you were hoping to know if it's common and if there is some scientific mechanism behind it. I have not noticed it but my search only turns up a single result - an Erowid experience report where someone said they did tramadol and had a cold nose, so I guess it could be from the tramadol.

Probably because you just haven't taken it often enough yet. Tramadol is an opioid and an SNRI, it's definitely dependence-causing if you take it often enough for long enough.
