Has anyone had success using tramadol to ween themselves off of a small (4-week) opiate habit?

Hey, i've been doing heroin for the passed 4 weeks, with a 4 day break and a 3 day break in the firs 3 weeks, and this week I have takin 3 full 24hr breaks, using xanax, because I thought I was gonna get a sub strip. During these breaks I had WD symptoms such as psychological and myoclonus. Sub never came through. I've used just over .6 grams of heroin and 16mg diluadid in 4 weeks and I have just under .3g left.

I am procuring 10 X 200mg Tram pills.

I am currently equiped w/ clonidine, a few doses of kratom and lopermide, pseduophed + ibuprophen pills i'm gonna take to try to increase dopamine along w/ 25mg modafinil to combat rls.

This guy has to be a troll, I saw him make the same thread with the same quantities of drugs used like a week ago.

Dude, suboxone would be super overkill. Infact, even clonidine is over kill. (But don't get me wrong, if you got it, use it, Clonidine is amazing for opiate withdrawals, minor or severe) A bit of kratom or loperamide is all you'll need to land softly, your habit is literally tiny as fuck.

News flash: there's no such thing as a small heroin habit

4 weeks *with breaks in between* does not an opiate habit make.

It took me months and months of using before I ever experienced wd

You're reading about people who have wd and talking yourself into it. "Withdrawal symptoms like psychological". Yeah duh of course you're going to crave something you like after you've been using on and off for a month. Withdrawal? No. You may feel a little under the weather, like a hangover, you may crave, you may feel a bit blah. Not withdrawal. More like I said, an opiate hangover.

Unless you had a previous opiate addiction, playing around for a month is not enough time to change your brain receptors to the point you even experience wd. So stop convincing yourself you have wd, take a break, take some benzos and sleep a couple days if you must. But you don't need a medicine chest full to stop this short run. I hope you never find out what opiate wd really is.

I get that, but have you ever tried tramadol to get over short cravings and probably sleep-related rls?
I'm not a troll pbuilder, however i do have legitimate anxiety about these things. Bcause I can tend to be a bit of a head-case at times. And I do tend to ruminate and exacerbate my circumstance, but this is an exception.

and crazy diamond- I experienced symptoms from just 2 weeks use, last time i binged- about 6 months ago, and it was horrible due to three nights of sleepless spazzing/jerking and having a serious flu-like reaction. Just two weeks triggered intense myoclonic reaction. I don't want to experience that ever again that is why i will go to extraordinary links to balance my brian back to sobriety easier.

to pbuilder- sorry, man

I have detoxed cold turkey, have detoxed with comfort meds like clonidine, detoxed with phenobarbital (they had subs at that detox but i was so knocked out from the pheno I didn't take them), and detoxed with methadone

Sorry but never with tramadol, although I did use that in combination with oxy occasionally.

Truly, I know you think you have this killer wd, but trust me its on the low end of the scale. When you are puking and shitting out both ends at the same time, freezing in the cold sweat that you've soaked through your sheets, have RLS to the point you HAVe to get up and walk to get the blood moving but you don't have the energy to stand...that's some killer wd

I'm not trying to be an ass. You said you used about .6 g over a few weeks. I was doing .4-.5 g shots, several per day. It's hard to take you seriously as having wd from the amount you have used over the time period. But hey, none of us like to feel yucky at all. So, ...

Take some benzos and about 10-15 imodium pills and sleep through as much as you can. Clonidine helps. Take the imodium every 12 hours, lessening the dose each time. Imodium (loperamide) will bind to opiate receptors in your body(not brain), taking away about 80 percent of the wd while not getting you high. If you do get a sub only take 1-2 mg pieces over no more than 5 days. I think my easiest detox was actually on phenobarbital cause I slept thru most of it.

Good luck

Anything over 400mg of Tramadol per day isn't recommended as it can cause seizures.

Tramadol has extremely weak opiate action for most people and most of the 'high' experienced comes from its antidepressant action. Tramadol is basically Effexor but with slight opiate receptor affinity, IIRC.

Yes, Tramadol will brighten your mood a bit and give you some energy but it won't be anything miraculous. It can be used and be a good tool to curb cravings but you need to be cautious. Prolonged Tramadol use comes with its own set of withdrawals which are much worse than mild/moderate opiate withdrawals.

If you're coming off a short stint of heroin abuse, and don't want to face it without some kind of chemical assistance, I'd suggest limiting your taper drug to codeine - it can be surprisingly effective in helping with some of the more uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal.

Hey man...it's been a week and you've made the same thread multiple times. You've still used the same amount of heroin and diluaded as your last thread. You don't have a habit. You're just craving. (Unless you're lying about your use, which makes your addiction worse and you not being willing to admit it just means you're in so much deeper then you think.)

You fucked up. You really like it and you keep making excuses not to quit. You are fucked if you're this helpless with an almost nonexistent habit...

See a psychologist. You have mental issues not physical. You want to be a heroin addict. you want to keep using. I'm gunna give you the only advice that can help you right now, literally nothing else can help you.

Quit being a fucking wussy. If you want to get clean, you have to fucking do it. You can't keep making these threads, they're not gunna help you bud. You can quit being afraid and weak, so incredibly weak it's disturbing, or you can man the fuck up and do it.

This isn't meant to be rude at all, the strong language is because this is the reality of YOUR situation. You're so mentally weak and you are screwed unless you can sack up and fxxking do it.
